Loved this hike. Beautiful views along the way and especially at the end. It was cold in the morning but hats and coats made it perfect!!!

We

Great trail and an easy hike. It’s well marked and had little traffic while we were out. The overall hike is closer to 7 miles from the Staves Spring trailhead parking. The view at the end is totally worth it! Definitely recommend!

short and sweet.

Awesome views. Get an early start with the heat. Not too hard and well worth the effort!

Too many people, paved, something to pass the time but not a must do by any means.

Very short but cute. To start.

love the history

great little hike to start the day to the observation point. loved it with our group and have some fabulous pics.

tip do the short quick hikes first.

new rule of thumb for us.

we thought this was the best of the shorter moderate trails. lots to see all the way. it's a popular home so go in early morning since many parts of the trail are too narrow for two way traffic. views along top third of the trail were spectacular!

short steep shaded walk along a paved trail to the viewing platform which is cut into the cliff where water rains down from above. special but not a must do.

Got to the parking lot before sunrise and we were the third car there. On return the lot was full. Get there early. Great hike with wonderful rock formations along the trail and super views at the end. Starts a little steep but flattens quickly. We got to the view point just as the canyon was beginning to glow with the sunrise. There is some exposure but with a little precaution you should be fine

Go early before 8am or after 5pm if you want to be more alone. Gorgeous views. Easy short hike.

THIS IS NOT A TRAIL!! its basically a make your own adventure hike which happens to follow the creek bed of the gifford canyon. climbing and bush wacking are required. there was nobody else on this "trail" but there were footsteps in the sand which helped navigation and eased the feelings of uncertainty. fun but a bit sketchy.

A quick and easy hike on the drive in from Bryce. Great view from the overlook at the end.

Gorgeous easy hike, did this one just before sunrise, and hiking up in the dark then back down once it was light was like doing two different trails. Pretty and really nice!

Ok hike. Stream at the bottom was nice.

It’s not that great and plenty of families and old folks on the trail. We did it today after we finished Observation Point.

Worth the walk!! Sunny trail take water and your time...the view of Outlook is beautiful! Sandstone is always slippery ...wear good hiking shoes

Awesome views throughout the hike! I would rate this as a more moderate hike, it may be short but there are a couple spots that get a little dicey. Wear good footwear as there are lots of rocks and some steep climbing. We saw a herd of 10 big horned sheep on the hike which was so cool! The viewpoint at the end is incredible!! Definitely do this hike if you are looking for a place to stretch your legs as you drive through the park!

Checked this trail out over Labor Day weekend and ran into a lot of hikers as I guess you would on a three day weekend.
The was very well marked and maintained which made for an easy stroll with the weather in the mid 80’s.
As I often do, I kept a close eye out for signs of previous inhabitants and found 2 locations of camps that dated back to the late 1800’s. You will need to have a good eye to find these as most of the obvious signs are gone.
The trail climaxes at the end with the cable works used for transporting timber to the floor below which is now the Zion canyon.
The Stave Spring was literally dripping so make sure to carry on your own water.

This trail includes a steep, sandy hill climb, beautiful sandstone formations, poorly marked and rarely trafficked trails, and an arch that’s actually quite tricky to spot. It’s a beautiful area with a good view and a lot of nice features. If this is your first time, consider using a gps. I think it’s great fun. Definitely moderate. Definitely not easy or hard. Watch out for cryptobiotic soil; there’s a lot of it here, and it’s easy to get off trail, so tread carefully.

Nice short hike, great view.

This trail is great for hiking without crowds; however, the end it’s not well marked. We hiked about 2 miles in from the fork and never found the cable house. Make sure you find the coordinates to the house before starting the hike

Super fun trail you can do if you're short on time and/or want to beat the thunderstorms! Steep in the beginning, has handrails where needed, and a wooden bridge that is a little rickety. Not for those who don't like heights! Along the way you can see a slot canyon (I think it's called pine canyon) below you. The view from the top is amazing! You can see the "windows" of the car tunnel, and the valley floor. Plenty of places to spread out and have a picnic, take photos, sunbathe, etc. without bothering others. Bring your camera!

Went on the spur of the moment with a neighbor. Very nice hike with lots of good reviews. Easy hike especially for me since I haven’t been on a lot of hikes lately. This is definitely worth the time if you’re looking for an easy hike that you can do in about an hour.

While short, this is NOT easy and I question the “kid friendly “. It’s a short steep climb with some narrow steps and some very narrow paths next to steep drops if a mistake is made. There are some rails but not 100%. The end is worth it with incredible views.
