Yes it was alternating between ice and mud, but it’s winter. I didn’t mind the grade and it’s pretty well signed to the falls. The falls are small but interesting. If you go in winter and there’s no poison ivy, you can crawl up past the falls to a bonus waterfall if you’re up for a little scrambling.

This is a really cool place. I wouldn’t have expected it to be up there behind just the neighborhood

This is a nice easy family hike. My 5 year old had no problem. Beware as we saw needles and other drug paraphernalia towards the beginning of the trail head, but afterwards it was all natural beauty. The suspension bridge was awesome and overall it was a enjoyable experience.

10/10, very muddy but the veiws (and fresh air) are totally worth it

Tough hike but great view of both valleys.

Great fun trail. A must do with a group. When we got there, the road was closed, so that added another mile to the hike. The hike was very muddy, but very fun. Make sure you use the app to know where you are. There are diverging trails and we got lost and had to backtrack on one of them. The view is amazing. Hardly anyone was on the trail besides us.

although all trails mentions dogs on leash when you approach the trailhead you will see a no dogs watershed sign. biker city

Not exactly what I expected, much of the trial is wide and flat. Incline was slow. Maybe better for a bike ride.

This is the second time I've hiked this trail. We started further north on the Bonneville shoreline trail. In the summer there was a lot of poison ivy near the falls, but cool weather took care of that and you can really see the falls. On a Tuesday morning there aren't many other people on this trail, just some nice deer.

Attention before leaping into this hike, the trail is definitely NOT moderate. Pay attention to the hike statistics. This hike is very difficult for most hikers. If you are in great shape, it’s the best hike around though, as you climb vertical very quickly. Plan for spending several hours on trail. I hiked up to about 8500 ft the second week in November in about 2.5 hours (I hike very very quickly) and ran into snow on the paths (obviously) but it was so much fun! Highly recommend when no snow and have hours to play!

This is a nice hike in the fall or spring when other trails might be covered in snow or ice. The views are pretty decent but it would be aggravating to do this hike on a polluted day in the valley. There are lots of side trails along the way and the bear canyon spur is quite pretty. This would be a miserable hike in the heat —there is very little shade. A great choice for trail running and mountain biking. Good for all ages. It’s pretty easy and you can go for as short or as long as you like.

Man , tough steep hike the weather was nice , but the wind was really bad the higher up we went

Definitely not moderate but a very fun easy hike. The suspension bridge is worth it alone. Make sure right by the bridge you go on bear canyon loop, it takes you up a little higher where the stream is.

Perfect day to hike Cherry Canyon. It was difficult but worth it. The first few miles are hard but it does ease up.

This was an easy but fun hike. I have never been on a suspension bridge and it was worth the hike to see it and cross it.

A nice gentle trail. A very popular mountain bike route. The Vertigo trail, the one on the right, is a bike only down hill route. The trail to the left is the South Maple Hollow trail passing through Gambel oaks. There is a year round stream at the big switchback 2/3's up on the Maple Hollow trail.

Not as enjoyable because you are constantly watching for mountain bikers and moving out of their way.

A lot of cyclists and it’s pretty easy- wouldn’t consider this a moderate trail
