One of our absolute favorite trails to this point. More of a remote access monument. This is a two mile loop essentially. No on else was on the trail. Paved for the most part. We saw numerous salamanders as we hiked, all of them with the beautiful blue/yellow colors. I can't remember the specific species but it's a native species to the four corners area. 75% of the trail is flat, the end of the trail descends into the valley and up the opposite side. Some stairs, some scrambling, well marked and very safe. If you have kids with you they'll love it. Our 5 year old went nuts during this part. The ruins are beautiful to see and it's really hard to believe how all this was completed during the specified time range. I hope everyone enjoys this trail as much as we did.
