Great hike. Awesome view at the end. Watch your footing as the soils are loose. 4 of 7 of us fell coming down.

We did this 12 mile hike over two days back in June and it was absolutely spectacular. The hike from the top down will certainly test your knees particularly if you are backpacking, but at the bottom where it connects to the river there are some beautiful little camping areas for an overnight stay. The hike out along the river is a little treacherous but awesome nonetheless. At the convergence of Rattlesnake Creek and Ashdown Creek you can hike up Rattlesnake Creek gorge to see the two really beautiful waterfalls. It is better to leave your packs hidden somewhere at the convergence and then just hike up Rattlesnake Creek. Be sure to bring a water filter and plenty of sunscreen.

Incredible trail through an ancient bristlecone pine forest with a gorgeous blend of red orange and green, showcasing the unique geology of the area with a great view at the top. You can literally stand right on the edge of the breaks (careful of the loose soil!)

The hike is absolutely beautiful and well worth it.

The views would be awesome all along the trail, but we only finished a small portion of it due to fear of heights!! Our recording shows us going in a very short distance taking a little over an hour. This is because we went on the weekend for the Wildflower Festival and went on a wildflower hike. The hike leader was very knowledgable about all the flora and fauna, which took time to stop at various flowers and plants to explain to us about the various natural elements of the park.

Beautiful viewpoint. You can drive right up to the top. Did it in my Prius with careful driving. There is a lower parking lot as well with and out house that we like to start from and walk the road to the top to get a little more exercise since the "trail" at the top is just a little path to the old station and only about 50 yards long.

Took the lower trail. Beautiful views and flowers. My four year old did great.

It’s easier to park on the northern side. Pleasant walk on the higher route, leads to the ridge overlook. Pond was a little scummy so not the best.

Not real exciting, but enjoyable. Upper loop has a rock formation we liked climbing.

Cedar Breaks is a beautiful view and has some very dark skies. A nice park and look then go type of thing. This hike is nice and short but you do not really see anything different.

Top of the world views. Seldom can you peak with so little effort. Had to do it quick, a Missouri boy was feeling the altitude.

Altitude wasn't an issue with the minimal elevation change. Nice views and variety.

Nice, easy hike.

Breathtaking views!

Beautiful views of Cedar Breaks. The switchbacks at altitude are tough, so be prepared. Well marked trail.

Pretty, easy, casual hike. Great overlooks of Cedar Breaks.

If pressed for time, skip the second lookout - it takes an extra hour and is more strenuous than the first half. Very fun hike with spectacular views. Snow on December 28th was packed and fine to walk on with decent shoes.

The view is amazing but the road is too bad. There are lots of big rocks on the road makes it so hard to drive on.

Hiked the upper trail. Just a note, signs said no dogs allowed, even on leash.

Fairly easy

The view is gorgeous but the hike isn't much. We took little kids and had to carry them. It is nothing but steep rocky pathways, the kids slid and fell every time they tried to walk.

Beautiful views! We parked about a mile down from the summit to get a little hike in :)

Lower loop is gorgeous, definitely check it out! Upper is relatively boring but would be good for trail running.

Beautiful!
