Definitely a lot of uphill especially the first 2 miles but overall a good trail run!!

This was a beautiful trail. We had 5 kids ages 5-10 and our dog with us, they all handled it beautifully. Everyone wanted lots of water on the way up. The trail is nicely shaded the majority of the time. Cons: the amount of dog poop on this trail is ridiculous, why the heck can’t people just pick up their dog’s poop?! Pretty soon dogs won’t be allowed in such beautiful places. Not cool.

Really like this trail. Watch for rattle snakes tho

My husband and I completed this hike on July 1.

This hike was okay. Typical canyon hike- lovely views and mostly shaded. Frustrating that the trail was overgrown in some areas, especially toward the end. We're not even sure we made it to the official end of the trail... we just couldn't go any farther.

Probably would've given it 3 stars, but the stream crossings and clusters of butterflies were redeeming factors.

great hike :)

There is copious signage at the trail head and around the parking lot that dogs are NOT allowed on this trail. Be advised before you drive up. The scenery is beautiful from the pass. We did not hike due to the NO DOGS ALLOWED posted.

Fun and gorgeous hike! There is poison ivy along the trail, so be aware of that, but otherwise a very nice trail.

One of my favorite hikes. love the water and the bridges.

Very fun little off roading trail. Has a quite a bit of rocks and puddles so I recommend something with some ground clearance. Very pretty view up there!

my favorite... but its very busy and lots of bikes spoil the walk

Mountain bikes this trail and loveeeed it! Pretty steady climb with a pretty view at the top.

Great trail, beautiful scenery.

Great hike for families with young kids. Fun to play in the creek along the way.

A great trail to run. Not too steep (up or down), not too long or short, not too rocky. Lots of shade and beautiful greenery in the spring.

Very pretty, scenic views. Trail is moderate incline to the rock. Somewhat crowded later in the day. Thoroughly enjoying the trail when 2 kids on motorcycles came up the trail. Apparently motorcycles are allowed on this trail? It terrified my dog and the engine noise echoed through the canyon. Other than that disturbing episode, the trail is good training.

A favorite for sure. Absolutely gorgeous. Begs to be run.

Good climb at the beginning, levels out at the top. Beautahful views at the top. plan for a couple hours (at least 5-6) to finish the whole trail.

What a work out, loved every minute of it beautiful scenery.

Its a good family trail with fair amounts of shade. I don't personally love sharing the trail with mountain bikers (with 3 kids 5 and under, its a total hassle to pull them all aside every 5 minutes) but we chose a much less crowded time than usual, which was very pleasant!
We typically hike Big or Little cottonwood about 75% of the time, so the dog waste everywhere was appalling to see... CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOGS PEOPLE!
The teepees were all dismantled which was a total bummer! My kids were really looking forward to them!
There were tons of wildflowers and tree blossoms and it made for gorgeous scenery!

Super busy on weekends would never mountain bike on a Saturday morning or evening nor Sunday, but any other day is a blast!

The real difficulty for me was the slippery mud. I wore shorts and didn’t find the trail as scratchy as others have noted, but there is a lot of foliage and growth along the way. Saw plenty of deer and turkeys. There are fantastic views of North Salt Lake and Mueller Park. There is also far less traffic. I hit the parking lot at almost 22:00, and it was still full of cars. Didn’t see another person on Kenny Creek.

Beautiful hike!!

I ran this trail in the rain, and it was absolutely gorgeous. The trail is moderately steep in areas, but it’s not too steep. It’s wonderful. If you’re considering this trail, definitely do it! :)

The heavy crowds don't distract from this beautiful trail. It start steep, shaded by big pines, followed by scrub oak. There are several bridged stream crossings and much of the trail is shaded. I nearly always see wildlife from deer to snakes and even the occasional moose. The trail is multi-use so expect to share the trail! Hikers, bikers, horses and motorcycles are all allowed. To get away from the crowds continue past the big rock to Rudy's Flat. There is room for camping and few venture this far. I usually mountain bike the trail but often hike with the kids, camp at Ruby's and snowshoe in the winter.

Hiked the Kenny Creek Trail past the cabin to Willy Hollow. Lost the trail after it crossed the small stream at a camp with an old table. We just followed the Willy Hollow stream down to Mill Creek. Both Kenny Creek and Mill Creek are very overgrown.

There are two trails here apparently . One that goes above the parking lot and one that goes below into the canyon. We did the latter. Great family friendly trail. You will cross a couple creeks and rivers but there are bridges over the creeks and the river is currently still calm enough to walk through. Beautiful trees everywhere and lots of shade . There are a couple steep hills.
