This was a beautiful and easy hike. We did it in the beginning of June. The waterfall at the end seems to appear out of no where. It was really spectacular. The water was freezing!

Some snow and ice but did not need spikes/snowshoes. Great waterfall!

Did this today. Beautiful trail. Dusting of snow on the ground but presented no problems. Traction or snowshoes not necessary, you could do this hike in trail runners. Be sure to bring layers, though, the falls are like 20 degrees cooler than the hike in and you’d hate to cut your time at the falls short

It is actually 7.5m round trip. Snow and ice most of the way. Bring good hiking boots. Spikes may be needed. The water fall is absolutely beautiful!!!

Lovely, easy trail. Superb views with a little history (pictographs / granaries), and of course the waterfall. A recent snowfall has made the trail slightly muddy, occasionally icy, and somewhat snowy depending on location. This was on 12-26-19. Don’t fall into the creek. Looks cold. Brrr. This was a little like a baby Zion hike without killer elevation or trampling mobs.

Beautiful. The Upper Muley Twist has a little bit of everything that makes Capitol Reef special: steep canyons, slots, arches, sweeping sandstone formations. Panoramic views of the Strike Valley and snow-capped Henry Mts. Incredible. Beware though, the trail as marked on the app here is wrong in the most important part: the transition from rim to canyon, or vice versa. Lots of false cairns and footprints on dead end spurs can lead you astray. No cell service, recommend downloading the map here before you go. We had a backup map that saved us when we lost the trail. On the top part of the canyon route, the transition to the rim route, stay to the west on the slick rock instead of the trail as marked here and you’ll have an easier time. The slot is fun to explore when you get down.

Dry all the way, sand is fairly hard packed. Quite a bit colder in the shade and at the falls, bring layers. The falls are amazing, well worth the effort. The trail is easy and well-identified for anyone that can do the distance.

The trail was dry conditions were great. Moderate decent, falls were beautiful dipped our toes in a pool. Took the dog she did well a bit slidy at the start but, dirt most of the way. Had a great time went 11/16/19.

Amazing waterfall at the end!

Pretty flat some inclines. Took about 2 hours. 6.2 miles ROUND TRIP. I’d say it’s beginner nothing to intense maybe two water bottles - I only drank half of one. Waterfall super pretty also freezing! Once you get to market 13 it’s right around the corner. Super pretty! Worth it. Keep time in check. Went today 11-9-19. Was cool at points but a tee shirt and small thermal long sleeve shirt worked well enough.

Exceptional 6 mile hike. Stunning views of several canyons, and dramatic waterfall. Much of the trail was through fine sand. Use the map to read each of the 14 description markers - including number 9 regarding pictographs on an opposite wall. Truly a memorable hike.

Loved this trail. 6 miles ish. Most of it is through sand so it feels like you’re walking on a beach, a bit tougher than just walking on a path. Gorgeous scenery throughout. Easy to follow trail. Gets cold in the canyon and near the falls so take a layer

Great hike with awesome views at the Strike Valley Overlook. I hiked from the 2WD parking lot but my RAV4 could've made it all the way, some guy drove up to it in his mini-van, as did somebody in their Subaru Outback. Hike was very level, my GPS showed 400 feet vertical and I was never aware of any slope. Lots of great rock formations and cliffs along the way, really fun because there was always something to look at.

As the description suggests, did this one way as the opening section of the Boulder Mail Trail - an exhilarating day and a half five star trek for sure. The four star rating is a hat tip to loop and ptp’s as being one better. The trailhead is easy to find with Google maps Boulder Mail Trail Trailhead

excellent and scenic - you might want to avoid the 4wd Wolverine Loop. dusty drive and not much to see. don't miss Singing Canyon ..

Great hike! Really sandy in some parts. We were there at 10:30 on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy at all. We shed layers on the trail but then were glad we still had our jackets at the falls. It was chilly there. We ate lunch at the picnic tables there by the parking lot.

We definitely saved time by driving most the way along Harris wash. Didn’t see another person til we were at the ashtray. Road needs high clearance if you’re gonna drive it. Pretty trail, awesome destination, wouldn’t ever do the trail without driving haha.

My Apple Watch clocked 7 miles in 2.5 hours from the parking lot. The trail is nice, some sun and some shade. Little elevation gain. It is sandy. Be prepared because it slows you down and you may have to stop to dump sand from your shoes. The falls are beautiful and worth the hike! Be sure to pay the day use fee of $5. The day we went it was cold. We started in coats and hats and gloves at 10:30am in the 30 degree range. By the end we were in short sleeve shirts. The sun was welcome. Go early because you won’t find parking otherwise.

Spectacular colors. This is more than a walk to the waterfall. Grab the guide which points out the petroglyphs and other interesting points along the way. May seem long but worth it!

This is an amazing slot canyon. It is a short and a very worthwhile walk. This entire area is beautiful as is the drive down Burr Trail Rd. The colors were gorgeous today with yellow & gold fall colors complimenting the canyons

View at the top/end: 4/5 Pretty waterfall in a nice shaded spot giving respite from the hot sun. Views along the trail: 3.5/5 Beautiful fall colours and red cliffs along the route. Technical difficulty: 0.5/5 No long up sections. Path is narrow in places but never dangerous or technical. Saw kids/babies and grandparents all along the trail. Anyone can do it. Half a star for some slightly uneven steps in places. Fitness difficulty: 1/5 Some deeper sand making it a little more strenuous than normal otherwise an easy hike. Overall rating: 3/5 Knocked stars off because of how busy it is. So many people. It was a Friday afternoon in October and I regularly had to queue to get past people. Lots of large, loud groups. Definitely not the place for peace and tranquility but very pretty none the less.

Pretty sandy on a quarter of the trail but the waterfall at the end is spectacular. You’d think you were in a lush forest if you didn’t know any better.
