This is a beautiful ride, and I would do it again, however I can't give it 5 stars. I took my wife and two children on this ride. We ranged in ages 17 - 51, and while my wife and I are more experienced bikers, my children aren't so the moderate rating is all depending upon your point of view. Let me give everyone some tips (I have been ridding mountain bikes for about 20 years now so I do have some experience in this area):
1. Users have said ride this clockwise, don't do that. EVERYONE rides this counter clockwise. We road this clockwise and it was much more difficult (steeper ups and hard rock climbs). Plus you run into everyone else riding it CCW. Just make sure you know how to find the trail when crossing the road as you have about a 1/2 mile on the main road before the trail starts again.
2. Some parts are maintained, but the side closest to the road have two different fallen trees that you need to portage across. One is fairly large and you need someone else with you to help each other.
3. The steeps are more steep than people make out below, your lungs will be burning as you are at high altitude. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone below the age of 12 or you will be out there all day as they will need to walk a lot.
4. It is technical at times (several rock drops and loose gravel). Anytime you add single track, it becomes technical unless you have ridden it a lot, so again for non experienced riders, this will be more difficult. Moderately experienced mountain bikers will have no issues. I would say some parts would be considered hard while others are easy. Hence the moderate rating especially with climbs.
5. Watch out for loose gravel and rock (mostly on the lake side), my daughter had a nasty wash out and got her first good road rash on both knees … some good mountain bike war wounds we like to say.
6. Take water, especially in the summer, it's longer than you think.
7. My wife and I both used our Garmins, and it's more like 11.5-11.6 miles. Now it's possible they are off slightly, but not a mile. If you are checking with a phone or a bike odometer they are probably off more than a true GPS.
8. Be prepared for spectacular views … take a phone or camera for pictures (I used my GoPro).

Nice, easy and very enjoyable hike!!

Fairly easy trail with good views of Zion National park and a small waterfall

Good hike, some steeper slopes but we did it with small children, holding hands at the steepest parts. Waterfall was not that impressive but the views from the mountainside were nice!

Did this beautiful hike on a rainy day with our pup and ended up being the only ones! Gorgeous views and well worth it. The “falls” at the end was not much more than some running water that was waist level past a guardrail. Worth every minute of it!

This hike was easy and short. There's not a lot of difficulty in climbing, but it is on a cliffside so I would be careful bringing small children. There are a few benches on the way to sit and rest, take pictures, or have a snack.
At this time of the year, the actual waterfall was nice to look at, but pretty small- maybe because they are in a drought, even though it's been raining for 2 weeks. Some of the walkways on the cliffs were washed out, but we didn't have any problems getting over them.
Aside from this, the views on the way to the falls were spectacular. We had a pair of binoculars and enjoyed looking at objects nestled in the valley.
There are also restrooms at the trailhead.

Clear weather on the way in...downpour on the way out. Parts were covered with rocks which made you be more cautious of your footing due to the downpour from the days before. A comfortable decline then a nice incline at the end. Not much of a “fall” to look at. Still a fun hike.

it was beautiful on the way in and flooding on the way out, but a little water couldn't dampen our day

Nice easy well groomed trail. Fall was trickling because of seasonal low rainfall.
Stopped in to chat with the Visitor Center folks before heading out who gave me some great info on this and other trails. If you are squeamish about hiking on the edge you may not enjoy this so much.

3.2 mile well-signed dirt road takes you to the end parking lot. Restrooms available. Trail to the right is falls, there is also a trailhead for Virgin River Rim Trail popular with Mtn bikers. Falls trail has some shade but mostly exposed. Its a gradual down hill so remember you will be coming back up at return.

This summer there are still some beautiful flowers and a stand of Bristlecone Pines. Closer to the fall you might find some geodes.

nice short trail..

Great views at TH. Arrive early, lot gets full.

Easy hike

Easy to find. Worth the views, if you look long enough there are two small arches down in the canyon. We went early in the morning about 8:00am and we didn't see anyone until the way back. It was a slight bit chilly but tolerable. There isn't much protection from sliding down the hill if you went off trail, so be careful of that.

We be best at sunset! Lots of wildlife and flowers along the hike.

Nice easy short hike with a little water waterfall at the end. The views of along trail are worth it. Looking at out over the valley is amazing. Wasn’t not crowded at all when went. Got there at about 9am. We were the only ones there.

This is a great non-technical single track ride. We took a group of 15 around the lake and all riders aging from 12 to 45 made it the whole way without any trouble. The trail is a lot of short ups and downs through the pine and aspen trees. There is even one spot where the trail hits an ancient lava field. I'd highly recommend this one. Can't wait to try it again!

This was a very easy hike and the waterfall was very cool. It was pretty crowded the Saturday afternoon we were there, and the length and difficulty made it a little unsatisfying in light of the drive required (from Cedar City) to get there. Still, very fun and beautiful views. Good for kids.

Great hike. Beautiful trail, and great distance views! Trail was a little rocky in the first 2 sections but didn't stop us. We did this hike in 3 legs. Strawberry to cascade falls, then 2 days later we did cascade falls to te-ah campground then 1 week later we did te-ah to woods ranch. If we did it again we would end at deer haven cg. From there to woods ranch is a rocky road and a lot of exposure. We would love to do this and camp 1/2 way through.

This is actually an easy hike. You drive most of the way and it's no more than a mile to the falls
