Awesome trail! So so fun!!

Always a favorite trail of ours. It was beautiful day a little muddy but great as always

Great views of the lake on this entire trail. A couple of spots are washed out with pretty good size exposed roots & a couple of pretty good size trees have fallen near the trail, but still a fun “quick” trail to hike no matter your age. Several spots to fish from on this trail, including bridges and piers. You definitely want to try to make it to the ranger led Christmas walk they do on this trail every year!

Great trail if you like a little incline! The C loop is our most favorite when we are getting ready for “bigger” hiking trips. It’s fun, beautiful & the trail is well kept & clean. You can get a great view of tall pine trees from here that really make you seem small! If we’ve had enough rain, you’ll even get to see a couple smaller water features!

This trail was great! Its marked well for the most part. I did a solo hike and really enjoyed it. Great scenery and seems to be well maintained.

very good trail.Did it at our 4 yr. olds pace. Muddy due to all the rain but still a good trail.

Nice walk through the woods. Parts of the trail are a bit muddy right now, but nothing too bad. I added the B loop for extra mileage.

One of the prettiest state parks I’ve visited in Texas. Beautiful trees and well-maintained grounds. Paths are clear and easy to traverse. Good signage keeps you on course. The lake loop takes you all the way around the lake and you see all sorts of foliage and the occasional fauna, like squirrels, raccoons, fish (due to such a clear lake), and lots of butterflies. I can’t wait to do more of the trails.

Pretty flat trail that loops the lake. There are some areas where we were able to see lots of turtles and the kids loved that.

love these trails. great signage. lots of fun.

Nice lake loop trail. Some places are paved others are not. A few small wooden bridges. We were here very end of February. Here were some controlled burns going on. Flat walk for the most part. Not challenging for serious hikers but a great way to see the lake.

I walked this trail again on 2/15/20 and it was a very nice walk. Kudos to the folks at Tyler State Park for doing the improvements along the trail, especially at addressing the flooding issue at the bridge at Beaver Pond. That part of the trail is totally dry now. This is easily the best trail at TSP.

Trail is in great condition. Ran the technical section of A which adds around .5miles. Total trail length is over 7 now. Bridge is down to the Blue Ridge area so did not bother hitting that.

I paired this with the B loop for a wonderful hike with some substantial incline. I did get off the trail a bit, but it was easy to reorient myself. Beautiful park!

This is a partial recording. It was a confusing trail to me as it was not the original trail that I remember.

An excellent trail around the lake although about 1/4 of it is road walking or walking knew the day use area.

Good hike with well marked trails. Plenty of shade cover with a lot of good views of the lake.

This was my very FIRST hike. I am directionally challenged, but the trail was relatively easy to follow. It was a great first experience. I’d definitely recommend it.

I’m rather new to mtn biking but have ridden > dozen trails from dfw to east TX to Shreveport. This one is a standby for me, a good hour or so ride with some technical parts. If you’re looking for more speed or longer distance try Lindsey Park a few miles away.

Trail A was a good ride for our 9 yr old and 12 yr old.... trail gets narrow and kids will have a couple falls... overall it is a good starting trail for beginners.

Watch for tree stumps cut down on the trail.... the small trees were cut at an angle about 6 inches off the ground. I tripped on one and fell down to one knee and ended up having to get 8 stitches in my knee.

Kid Friendly. Beautiful views!

aside from some washed out sections it's great.

Went trail running here. The "trails" were decent and open but very hard to navigate. As others have stated the trails cross over themselves many times and there are cut throughs on areas where the trail swithches back close to itself. Markers were hard to locate and few so I was just running in the woods randomly. Probably will not revisit as it was a very small location with too many interlocking sections. When you get on campus go around by the multi level parking garage and find an entrance behind it between the garage and street.
