This park has great options, if you want to walk, jog, or mountain bike.

Nice hiking trail in east Texas. It has several elevation changes, but most are gradual and not too steep. I would rate this trail somewhere between "easy" and "moderate" because of the distance and the elevation changes. It does offer nice views of the piney woods as well as a few meadow areas. Well-marked trail with mile markers.

Hiked Trail C yesterday and really enjoyed it. The park itself lists Trail C as "challenging," though this website only lists it as moderate. Compared to the other trails in the park, this is definitely one of the more challenging ones, but when speaking about hiking trails in general, I agree that "moderate" is a good description. There were several elevation changes, and a couple of challenging uphill climbs involving switchbacks, but it's only about a mile and a half, so it's not too grueling. The views of the pines are lovely, and you even cross over some water a few times. Pay attention to markers so you don't accidentally wander off onto the B or D trail loops, which would extend your hike distance considerably.

Awesome, I go almost every day! Nice friendly people and the city does a great job keeping the trails in good shape.

I never get tired of it! Easy trail and great views.

Very nice trail! There were some nicely built bridges along the way and a ton of wild flowers in the beginning of the trail. This trail meets an old road which I also thought was neat. Last half mile was uphill but not too steep.

Good park to hike in. Took my dog Bruno who had a great time. A lot of smells to keep him occupied. It was over 90 and rather humid but we were able to stay on shaded trails the whole time. Enough breeze to stay comfortable while moving but not so much when we decided to break for water. An overall enjoyable experience.

Very nice trail and an easy trail to start with. This trail is historical and definitely something you won’t want to miss if you go to the tyler state park.

Nice little trail with forested hills and creeks

Great trail...

I've ridden this trail for about 3 years now and I still find it challenging in some places. Nice tight turns...some good sized hills...a couple of creek crossings. It's a well maintained trail that never disappoints.

For a paved trail in the middle of a city it is quite pleasant. The trail follows along a creek through light woods and fields. It is quite accessable and includes a playground and exercise equipment, so something for everyone. Given the location visitors should expect high amounts of traffic.

The wading pool is stagnant water so isn’t useful for wading now.

Beautiful scenery. Beaver dam and natural spring. Path was pretty wet which slowed us down a bit.

Nice trail all the way around the lake

Very easy hike with just a couple of steep hills.

This is my favorite trail so far. Maybe because I live by it, but there’s SO many different trails you can take. Even when the park is crowded, you rarely pass people once you cross that tree line.

This is a combination trail which allows for a relatively easy walk on the graveled loop with lots of dirt trail side-excursions possible. I've photographed the lake across the road numerous times but this was my first jaunt on the trail itself and I will be back. It affords lovely views and a chance to see deep woods which would be hard to hike otherwise.

New additions to loop C has stretched the mountain bike trail out to an available 7 miles. Great addition. A bit sandy right now but after a couple rains it should lots of fun. There is new signage to help direct you on loop C also.

I walked this last Sunday with my 4 and 7 year old boys. They both took a great nap after. LOL!

Love this park and this trail!!

nice trail to go for a casual hike. nice views of the lake.

one of the best trails in the local area to prepare for mountain hiking

my 10 year old and I did both together. He carried 22 pounds and me just under 50. I would rate this trail as moderate. We both had a great time on the trail, we'll marked and maintained.

Great family trail. Easy with a bit of elevation change. awesome interactive trail.

Started out great. But, poorly marked trails. Got lost and ended up in a housing Subdivision and another Trailhead called Blue Ridge adding 3 miles to walk back to Faulkner Trailhead. All together we did 7 miles! Be Aware. Locals know this too.

Love it for a flatter run than some of the other local trails. Pretty trails. Always see deer and other wildlife. Never too crowded.

We did loop A which was 2.5 miles or so. Great variety of hills and climbs not too rocky or steep either. Extremely humid at this park so I highly recommend a morning or evening ride specially in the summer time. I have never sweat so much in my life. Take plenty of water and your also supposed to pay a park fee. Beautiful trees!!!!!

Nice hike lots of hills and valleys. Mixed pine & hardwoods.
