I loved nice trail

We really enjoyed this trail. It’s a nice, easy trek and the trail is nice and wide. It wasn’t very heavily trafficked.

The trail map is not accurate. It is an out and back. Go to Plano Parks website to get a PDF of trail map. Park at Sunset park just off Midway Road.

Not a lot of shade, trail follows the lake shore pretty close! Would a beautiful fall time walk. Easy walking.

Very pretty area but not the into the wilderness hike we were looking for. Well maintained and an easy loop trail for all ages.

Nice wide trail. Lots of traffic today on Mother’s Day! Not sure if normal, but would have been nice if less traffic. Lots of folks walking dogs and signs of dogs left behind. Dodging land mines on my bike! Ends at nice peninsula with a small beach. Then loops back.

Easy trail for anyone willing to go out and move lol. The views were very nice and you get to the lake shore half way in, where you can rest and keep going. Would recommend to anyone. And it’s not muddy anymore btw

Short and sweet great hike

Very well maintained trail with very occasional shade

Besides the biting flies that like to hang out at the scenic point, I enjoyed the view at the lake shore. It was a nice easy walk to the scenic point and back. Next time I come here, I am going to bring a can of OFF!

Nice Trail. There were a lot of people out but everyone kept their distance. This was my 1st time on the trail I need to learn how to get the best workout for me. Starting from parking lot entering the trail you’re going downhill but coming back 45 minutes later it’s uphill...yikes! So if anyone has any advice it’s most welcome.

Pretty view, wide path, benches to rest at and a little elevation change. Well maintained.

Nice easy hike. Beautiful scenery. My only negative comment would be to people that have dogs “ please pick up the poop and don’t leave it in the middle of the trail!” Had to walk around quite a bit of it,

Is this trail open yet as of April 21, 2020?

Great trail for running, walking, biking or just to enjoy nature and take photos. Its a family and pet friendly trail. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. I would also recommend wearing good walking/running shoes, definitely no flip-flips, the trails are mostly loose gravel.

Way to much neighborhood walking for my liking. Beautiful homes but I’m looking for nature

Great trail for families or those looking to get outdoors. It was busy when I visited but there is the ability to go off trail some. Not as many options as other parks/preserves but still nice.

Trail is currently flooded and closed. Will try again later though, looks pretty

I was really excited at first, because the trail is peaceful with pretty scenery. But it’s completely flooded (several feet high of water) about a mile into the trail, so you’re forced to turn around and come back. :(

Water has flooded this trail less than 1 mild from start.

Lots of bikers, beautiful sunset, just far away enough from the lake to see it, but not smell it. Will hike again.
