The main paved trail would be great for running and biking. The off trails for hiking were ok. Always heard the traffic noise and a ton of garbage. Some pretty flowers but not much animal life. If you're close, I'd recommend it. I wouldn't travel more than 30 minutes to hike it though.

Nice short walk.

What a great little hidden gem!!!

Love it!

This is a 20 mile trail starting at Dennis Johnston Park with 3 miles until You reach Pundt Park - 6 miles until you reach Spring creek park then onto Jesse jones park! WHERE WAS THIS PARK 20 years ago when I had to go to Westheimer area to get in a few miles for biking and running! This is so much closer AND nicer than any trail around Houston - how great it would be to keep continuing the trail even further! I can not say enough good things about this trail as it is covered with trees majority of the way, has water stations, bathrooms and plenty of cops on the trail (giving tickets so be sure to know bike laws) well maintained trail!!! I will gladly give donations to keep this trail looking great!!

Great trail, fantastic for first time hiking and nature trail walking.

Wonderful nature get-away in North Houston area

Nice trail to get in some miles. A little curvy at some points but overall wide and nice for cycling. There are plenty of branches and connected paths that allow you to get in more than 20.7 miles.

Beautiful area. Great park. The down fall is dogs are allowed on one trail only. Can be confusing as several different trails lead to others. Park ranchers are everywhere which is not a bad thing unless you got on a wrong trail with a dog. Actually a park rancher was upset with us just bringing a dog.. best to leave the dogs at home or go elsewhere.

Great place to ride, they have off road and street riding

I love this trail. It has both paved roads and wooded trails on the side of the path. The people I've encountered on it are pleasant and it seems to be patrolled by officers on 4 wheelers so I feel safer when jogging in the morning. Horseflys seem to be an issue for me in April/May and no bug spray seems to repel them! This trail helped take my walks from 1 to 2 miles to now 5 miles because of how long it is. I have spotted several copperheads both in the wooded trails and on the paved ones so be careful.

Bring extra water. Easy to wonder off the smaller trails that break off from the main route. It’s really nice to have something like this outside the Houston area.

Enjoyed this hike a great deal - make sure to find out the name of the mountain bike trails if you want to stick to the main route

Couldn’t even find the mountain Ike trail and I fell into the damn creek today. So my day at this park was not good

Great trail a little crowded but expected since is the beginning or Spring Break, take mosquitoe repellent, I am definitely going back to enjoy

Fantastic long, well maintained trail. We totally loved it. Long enough and just a bit hilly in spots to make it fun and a bit challenging. All of the Harvey fixes appear to be done, so no issues. They continue to extend it to the north and looking forward to the broader vision of both Spring Creek and Cypress Creek trailway systems.

Nice paved trail with a path large enough to accommodate safe passing on bicycles.

It was a very peaceful trail with lots of deer. I'll definitely be back.

Loved everything about this trail!

It’s pretty. I wish they had more and better maps. If you haven’t been around it a bunch you have no idea where you are going. There is a lot paved. I’m not a fan of the paved trails. The beach area is beautiful and fun.

On trail and off trail biking

This is a must for a nice family ride.

It’s a lovely trail, maybe not the best on a road bike. Several areas with sand, I ate it on one curve. Be careful if you’re on skinny tires!

Super wide paved trails. Closed after hurricane Harvey but idk why. I went around the barrier and the trail was in perfect condition. Best paved trail I've found around Spring/Woodlands.

Spoke to officer at park. One side is closed from flood. They are rebuilding. About to go walk the other side. It's closed about 5 miles down he said. Going to check it out now.

OK. I'm back from a 10+ mile walk. Was closed about 5 miles down. I continued for a bit, trail was fine.

Very clean. Uneventful walk unfortunately!
