Sul Ross to Forest Dr loop

We enjoyed the hike. The trail marking is interesting at times but we got through it. Don't do it for the dinosaur tracks, we are not geologists but we were looking in that area and saw a nice draw but no tracks.

Great birder trail. Quiet and protected from wind. Will go back.

Left camp site 10, hiked Upper Hill Trail to Dinosaur Trail, to Shady Trail, North Scenic Loop, to Lower Big Hill Trail to Camp

This is definitely a dog friendly trail. It has a couple of off-leash dog runs at about 1/2 way into the trail at Millbrook Loop for either big or small breeds. The whole trail is paved. There is a great large playground for kids with restrooms on the Millbrook loop at well. there is no good parking at the Knickerbocker trail head so I recommend parking at the Sherwood Rd trailhead or at the playground.

Easy trail if it weren’t for the Art in Uncommon Places, it might have been a wee bit boring. 2 loops and 2 out & back trails, paved.

Beautiful, well groomed trail and dogs on leash are ok. Prickly pear and other sticky stuff be aware, off to the sides

Pretty and options for stopping/water at a few points. Very little shade so plan accordingly. Parts of the loop are very overgrown with long grass that can soak your legs and feet with dew in the morning and conceal snakes in the afternoon. This trail had an amazing amount of butterflies and was a fun way to explore the park. Make sure to pack deep woods insect repellent for the tall grass and giant mosquitoes. Lots of animal tracks to check out as well.

The trail begins right across from the Burkett trail entrance. It is marked Winding Snake. It is beautiful, the trial is well marked, and lined with beautiful flowers. When I got to the Lanky Lackey Trail, the was no marked path. I hiked through the brush and tall grass until I found a road that took me straight to Fisher Lake. Once at Fisher Lake, I could not find the path that lead back to my start point. So, I continued following the edge of the lake and hiked through a field. At large tree stump I turned towards the trees, hiked through cactus, tall grass, and brush until I made it back on the Winding Snake trail and back to my start point. Have fun :)

Great beginner trail. Very short, but can be looped and taken a few different ways for more experienced hikers or more distance. The water is beautiful.

paved path through open fields with scattered art installations along the way.

Fun, easy to hike trail. Kind of tucked away but nicely marked and easy to follow. Nice scenic views along the way by the water. One of our favorites in San Angelo!

This is a great trail for day hiking. The glow-in-the-dark rocks in the concrete make for a fun time at night as well!

Trees and water... that's a miracle alone in this area! Nice trail, short but it connects indirectly to longer trail legs.
