This is the neatest little state park no ones ever heard of. Its tucked away, and very small, but loaded with trees, running creeks, boulders, and a cave you can easily access. Perfect spot to eat lunch. The park headquarters is one of the nicest I've seen. very modern. Keep an eye out for centipedes. Saw the biggest centipede crawling over a boulder while there, 1 foot long, an inch wide, it was black with bright yellow legs. Creepy. Do not want to get stung by one of those.

Great trail and lots of wildflowers. Hidden gem near Waco even if it’s just a small state park.

So clean and well kept. I will be returning

Enjoyed this trail, just enough challenge to make it fun. Great for dogs, campground looked nice. A beautiful old park with a great history.

Beautiful scenery. Dog friendly.

Falls color amazing

Agree with prior reviews, small park and well worth the trip. Very well kept, not at all busy when I went on a Sunday in Oct with lovely weather. The visitor center must have been rebuilt, looks very new, nice building with very clean restrooms. Trails are well marked, they all connect. About half of the park is presently undeveloped and there might be more trails in the future.

Trailers are easy but need to be better marked. easy to get turned around. but we love this park. were here weekly.

This is an awesome trail. My kids loved seeing the cave, table and rock tower. The stairs can be a little overwhelming if your not in the best of shape. We will be returning with friends to show them the trails.

easy, very short trails with an overhang cave, streams, interesting stream fed pond. can get about 4 miles connecting. western side of park still flooded.

Very easy walking trails that don't take you up very steep hills. The cave you can explore is the most challenging part of the hike. Walked the whole park in around an hour.

It's very clean, clearly marked trails, easy in my opinion. It's beautiful, wild flowers running water, it's adorable. Good place to spend a few hours or sit and read a book.

Another trip for a quick 1.5 miles hike with backpacks to get the year started off. The trails in great shape even with all the recent rain.

My high rating is for the cleanliness of the park (trails and even the bathrooms). It is a very small area and you will not be spending all day at the park unless you are camping. But it is well worth the visit. I would suggest you pick up one of the trail maps at the main entrance. The trails can be a bit deceiving (or even unmarked - parking areas from the trail) and you will get the most out of your time. The Lost Trail is closed due to flooding (at the time of my review). Butterflies were abundant and were my highlight of the Prairie Trail.

Beautiful park. Easy trail. Don't forget to snap pics. As of 3/28/2016, entrance at Park Road 14 is closed off because of flooding. You'll need to enter through the main gate, $2 per adult for day use. Woman at the main desk was very helpful & marked areas on my map that I had asked in detail about. Very clean restrooms, but I only saw the ones at the main entrance. Definitely suggest using them before you head to the trails.

Had a nice time, decent trail.

Attended the First Day Hike of 2016 sponsored by the Texas State Parks. It was a pretty cold morning, but after we got moving things warmed up a bit. Very enjoyable hike with about 100 other people turning out.

Easy trail, good for beginners, lots of interesting waypoints. Several short trails that can be combined to make a longer hike.

This an easy hike with some fun geocaches along the way. It was partly under construction when I was out about a year ago.

Awesome place for hiking and camping. They just opened the primitive (water only) site again. We took our Trail Life Troop there for overnight and a nice hike. We will be back.
