Wonderful park to take the family!!!

The positives are the dense forest scenery, amenities such as exercise and information stations, two dog parks, numerous good parking areas providing easy access, restrooms and it is very well maintained. The negatives are the large number of users, including high speed cyclists, the flat topography and hard concrete path that is hard on the feet .

Decent trail. There are some areas with a lot of nearby road noise, nearby construction and a visible apartment complex. The trail is well marked and well maintained. It's a good workout, well shaded. There is a half mile at the end that I'd a true loop. You cross a road to follow it, and it comes back across the road to finish the trail...you could easily cut that part off for a shorter hike. I've done this trial twice and will do it again.

I loved this trail, it's hard to find something like this in Longview. It was mostly clean and well kept. You can fish here too, catch and release. The inner trail around the lake is easy to walk on and the scenery is nice. There are lots of trees to provide shade throughout the trails. There is also a lot of picnic tables and seats near the lake to take rests. You can see some of the traffic from the highway from some parts, and on one part of the lake closest to the entrance there is a lot of construction going on, but it's far enough away to not cause much bother. I felt safe bringing the kids with me here, and they we're able to walk the lake trail with me without problems.

Great local trail. side note: you must be a member of Longview area Multisport association to gain access. For visitors I'd recommend stopping by Woolley Gs Bike and Fitness for help finding the trailhead.

Great trail behind Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview. One trail goes around the lake and another lazily meanders through the woods. Trails are well kept and the area is beautiful.

Nice for an extended walk. The trail isn't challenging, but it's great for a local stroll.

Hamby is primarily a mountain bike trail that is close to 10 miles in distance with the goal of 15 miles upon completion. This is a private trail which is difficult to locate and access, I would recommend visiting the local bike shop for information about accessing the trail.

The trail is technical, and has ample opportunity for descents and climbs, it is also heavily wooded. This trail is the most difficult in the Longview area for MTB, and is generally only used for MTB.

Paved concrete sidewalk trail that winds through woods. Great for family bike rides & small wheels. Several dog parks accessible from the northern portion of the trail.

Only drawback is it is very popular, so if you like a little more seclusion try Williams Lake (Mobberly Baptist) Trail or Cargill Long Trail.

Unlike the Boorman Trail, this trail features plenty of dense tree shade overhead, in most regions. Very relaxing and lovely. Great for running, even in the summer (actually rather cool if you avoid running before 9a in summer).
The pavement is rough asphalt at times, so not the best for skateboards or anything with small wheels.

The trails here do not fluctuate much in elevation, but they do wind in some areas.
The woods can be quite lovely, there are several pretty green and flowery meadows, and the main lake is great place to picnic at. Dog friendly, but leashes necessary. Fishing is catch and release only, mostly sunfish and bass. Black berries along trail turn ripe in May. Open sunrise to sunset.

Fun and easy to ride. Boorman Trail is great for taking your pets along for a bike ride because there are dog parks located among it.

Walk/Run the trail for the first time with my daughter, we both enjoyed it. Had some hills/slope to it but not to much. It seemed safe in most places but could be a little unsafe in a few areas of the trail. Just be careful wherever you run.

Neat private trail a few miles North of Longview, TX. Mostly tight singletrack but some fun elements are constantly added by local enthusiasts. Check out Woolie G's Shop or Longview Bike Club for access details.
