This park was nice to walk around in with a cemented path, lots of trees and a river. Barbeque grills and a playground for kids. Not a bad park to spend the day at.

My kid got stung by a bee within the first quarter mile. It’s probably an okay trail. We made it to where the trail opens to the field next to the river. Might try it again, but I think there are more interesting trails.

Great hike! Beautiful views!

Very pretty. But there's a lot of trash near the water. :(

This trail is fantastic for animal tracking. Coyote, raccoon, white tail deer, armadillo, bobcat and more are evident from tracks and scat. Birding near the river is spectacular: winter and Spring feature bald eagles, Osprey, blue-wing teals, and more. The vegetation is alternately bottomland hardwood and restoration prairie. An easy walk; go to the river and back or take the loop through the spacious campgrounds. Campgrounds connect to the river put-in site for kayak/canoes.
