Good hike overall. Extremely great views. Easy going trail and lots of people.

Nice wide trail through shrubby brush. Definitely got my workout in through distance not so much through elevation change.

Just to make it clear up front, you're not going to see much water on this trail. There's one small spring and a few dry creeks, but any pictures you set of waterfalls or rock hopping are probably from the actual Pedernales Falls to the north.

This was a fine, very easy hike. Wide trails and not much elevation change. Not many views, just a lot of brush and short trees. Seems like it'd be good for mountain bikers and trail runners. As a hike it was solid but unspectacular.

It’s okay! I got my exercise but the trail is more wide and out in the open. I wish there was more shade. And don’t forget, it $6 a person to get in. I completely didn’t know until I got there.

most of this is through scrubby forest, but there are some nice vistas overlooking the river.

slight incline - great views, short trail.

I visited the park some years ago and really enjoyed the Hill Country views from the trail as well as creek/river overlooks.

Kristen and I explored this state park. Fun as long as we were in water. Way too hot and dry. Trails didn't really look interesting. But twin falls is a must see. E walked down from viewing platform to get a closer look. And then followed stream down to big river. And the. Waded upriver to car bear swimming area.

It was a great trail very well maintained!!!

Beautiful landscape but not a lot of shade once it hits about noon. Pack plenty of water.

Good little cardio hike. You will have to park further out if you are not camping. Make sure to bring a decent camera to photograph the Falls. You cannot get closer than the overlook.

Drive up to the Falls/Duck Pond area. The pond is pretty dry (and no ducks). The Falls trails is worth the trip. Just be careful and use your GPS and park map. The trail is not marked well at all. No color dots and very few signs.

Easy trail with an awesome swimming hole located just past Bee Creek.

Weather was perfect, trail was great. Can't wait until they open the lower trail.

Nice trail, not special though, mostly gravel road, might be better for biking, clean, quite, little shade, nice but not a destination.

over 3/4 of the trail was a gravel road. very disappointed

Great little park! Clean, friendly staff, and many different trails to explore. Went from beachy to woodsy.

First hike I did with my infant in a carrier and it was tons of fun. Super easy hike and you can spend forever exploring the river!

Great trail close enough to Austin but far enough from huge crowds. Lots of neat stuff to see along the way.
