Nice trail with a good mix of elevation, water view, bridges as well as flat and straightaways with sand.

Parts need mx but great views on a nice cool day!

This map is okay but a little off. Maybe it was done before Harvey. Also, it’s not really “the Orange Trail” only. In fact, it is not possible to get to the orange trail without utilizing the purple and/or blue trails. The mosquitos were really bad today so I was unable to accurately record a better map for my use but may try that when it gets a little cooler.

Quiet run this morning lots of wildlife saw water snakes and lots of birds for a urban trail Mostly covered but there is a gravel trail that is on exposed at the top of the hill that would be good to run if it wasn’t so hot right now

Much of the trail is under construction currently.

This trail sucks! I’ve never been on it. I just wanted to comment something random. Thx for reading.

Today was not a good day for me. I am scared of wasp and bees and I was only trying to do the trail because my husband likes this trail. There were way more experienced people on the trail and I was getting in their way and they were practically running over me and I got lost because my husband was riding very fast. So, I turned around and came back home. I will have to try again in the winter when I can at least not have to deal with 90+ degree weather. I really want to learn this trail to please my husband and because I really want to enjoy it. But today really sucked!

Nice easy walk on gravel path mostly shaded by tree canopy. Climb the observatory towers for good views of the pond otherwise, the grasses are too high to see the water.

Be careful out there during the warmer months. A few minutes into our a hike, a cyclist notified us that he spotted a coral snake. Later on, a rough green snake fell from the trees and landed a few inches from us. Towards the end of our hike, I spotted what seemed to be a cottonmouth crossing the trail.

5 stars for Houston area, 4 overall. I love this trail. It is fast and diverse with lots to explore. This is a great place to improve your mountain biking skills.

Just under 5 miles, the trail offers great views of downtown Houston, local wildlife, and a few restaurants/bars nearby. Downtown is also accessible through the trail. The downside is that there are no public restrooms.
