The Lone Star Trail is an attractive trail that begins at Story Road/Hunter Ferrell across from Running Bear Park and ends at the City of Grand Prairie's Lone Star Park entertainment complex at Beltline/I-30 which contains the Verizon Theatre, a horse racing track, and a minor league baseball stadium. The trail is now a part of a larger connection with Irving's Campion Trail. In all, these two trails and the new connection create a continuous ten-mile stretch of trail.Show more

The Good Link Trail connects two major City of Grand Prairie athletic facilities (Mike Lewis Park and C.P. Waggoner Park) with a hard surface trail, boardwalks, and an impressive 270-foot bridge across Johnson Creek. Located where State Highway 161 and N. Carrier Parkway intersect, the trail was funded by TxDOT to compensate for a portion of Waggoner Park that had to be used for the construction of State Highway 161.Show more
