The website for the Fort Worth Nature Center says no running on the trails.

First timer on this trail. I traveled SOBO to the end and returned via the road. The first part of this very well marked trail had quite a bit of prairie runs - not my cup of tea - the last half of the trail did include mostly forested areas. The elevation changes offered some challenge, but it’s nothing an average fitness level hiker can’t handle. I’d give it a difficulty level of 3/5. The trail had very light traffic...only saw a woman + her dog, a couple, and a man + his two young boys. Would recommend treating your clothes with your choice of insect repellent because there are stretches of the trail that are very narrow; so, you will be brushing against foliage along the way.

I’ve lived in the area for years but finally tried out this trail. I enjoyed it and will visit again. Not busy and people I ran across were friendly.

I quit coming to this trail after several tries. The bikers make it miserable

Love the waterfall

Trying to find the old tractors that are here somewhere!

Not one of our favorite trails. No shade and it's crowded. The trail is long but it's not really wide enough. While your walking or running you will have to watch for cyclist coming up from behind you. This trail just isn't wide enough

I really enjoy this park. I'm personally glad there's a no dog policy. There are so many places people can walk dogs.

It's a great hike that is nearby but feels remote when hiking it. I love the elevation changes that happen across the hike.

The trail is well taken care of, and the park is well maintained; although I dont recommend doing this one in the afternoon in the summer... its 6.5 miles from start to finish and then back to your vehicle... bring lots of water if you do it over the summer. tons of prairie like chunks of trail (no tree cover).

so let's all get together and clean it up!

Fabulous for the beginner! the trail bars in difficulty depending on skill and impact. Great place to start.

Easy run

Very beautiful trail, lots of wildlife, very fun.

Eric and Janine, not sure where y'all were but this trail is very well marked and maintained. The Natuture Center is only open from 7 am to 5 so maybe that was the issue. The southern most trailhead is at the same parking spot that is for Greer Island.

This is a great trail but beginners be aware. There are several ups and downs with rock or railroad ties. Great views at the top. Wish the old resting spot still had a roof. The dog loved this hike.

Awesome trail

Second time coming here, love the trails but hat all the trash.

Great place to hike, covered from intense heat by overhanging trees. Great view of lake once you get to the top.

Fantastic for this part of Texas! This trail really has a bunch of different environments to hike in! Ups and downs, dirt, sand, and rocky terrain. Parts of the trail are unshaded and it feels like the desert south west, then the next thing you know how deep under the cover of trees... You can even enter the lake in a few spots if you want.

Be prepared to see all sorts of animals too! I've seen white tailed deer, squirrels, cardinals, baby scorpions and Monday I saw a pretty good sized snake out by the rest area on the North loop!

Really nice marked trails.

I love this one! Safe for pulling a trailer with my one year old and plenty of shaded areas!

If you continue this 2ml stretch, it will connect you to the 5ml sansom trail witch I love! But be careful it gets extremely confusing with no markers so if you do end up following the connecting trails, just be sure you have nothing planned that day lol!

Great trail if you like a good little hike but don’t mind getting a bit lost. Most of the trails are not marked until you get to the top. Several places are pretty steep but not too bad. The bottom portions are nice with plenty of shade. Not a place for children.

Definitely easy to maneuver and there is always an easier way down those trains.

Pretty site, just lots of trash. Trails are hard to tell apart from the places that are just washed out, and the views are pretty great for a city park.

No trail. Seriously. We hunted. There is a park called love circle but the trailhead leads to an empty lot with no way to walk farther.

The main trail is definitely the highlight. Very pretty, lots of wildlife (including birds, deer, armadillos, lizards). Great views of the lake and not too much elevation where just about everyone can enjoy the entire loop. One of the best trails in North Texas.

Ok, we reallllly loved this hike. It wore us out! Lots of beautiful things to see! Be prepared! There is a beautiful spot by the water to sit down and have lunch we loved it!
Now, there are a few things I think that need to be said about this place. THE TRAILS HAVE NO MARKERS! We did not know we were on a bike trail pretty much the whole time! We almost caused an accident a few times because we honestly did not know. The bike trails are pretty active so keep your ears open to listen for them!
Make sure you wear some good hiking shoes! (not flip flops
