Technical rocky trail, good climbs, sometimes insects get after you (stings, bites) in the areas with dense vegetation. MTBers help take Card if he trail, but watch out for them.

Scoped this place out for my son’s Cub Scouts. Overall, it’s a nice set-up. We enjoyed the views, with lots of trees and rugged terrain. In some areas there was a lot of trash. We came across a sleeping bag and two sets of clothes, undergarments and all. Not sure where the people belonging to those clothes were.

There was so much trash. Very sad

I quit coming to this trail after several tries. The bikers make it miserable

Love the waterfall

Trying to find the old tractors that are here somewhere!

Not one of our favorite trails. No shade and it's crowded. The trail is long but it's not really wide enough. While your walking or running you will have to watch for cyclist coming up from behind you. This trail just isn't wide enough

so let's all get together and clean it up!

Second time coming here, love the trails but hat all the trash.

Really nice marked trails.

I love this one! Safe for pulling a trailer with my one year old and plenty of shaded areas!

Great trail if you like a good little hike but don’t mind getting a bit lost. Most of the trails are not marked until you get to the top. Several places are pretty steep but not too bad. The bottom portions are nice with plenty of shade. Not a place for children.

Definitely easy to maneuver and there is always an easier way down those trains.

This trail could use some TLC. Not very many wild flowers along the trail itself, but a big patch by the park. Its best to stay on the main trail, we accidently ended up in someone's backyard and a lot of the other trails were cutoffs. Watch for snakes as well! We saw a 2ft black snake at the first creek on the trail.
Bring a small trash bag if you're feeling generous to pick up trash along the trail!

It was really beautiful and there were so many wildflowers. This is great hike for the springtime.

We took our dog and she had a lot of fun. There are a lot of bikes to watch out for if you are going to be walking but other than that, it's a really beautiful trail.

lots of glass in some areas. steep onclines. mind some of the trash if you have dogs or young kids overall really good trail

Interesting trail. The good is that it offers a wilderness experience close to downtown. The unpaved trails feel like game trails with just enough hills to keep it fun. Some of the bad things are that there is indeed homeless people camping out, although if you stick to the main trails it is unlikely you will stumble across any. I only saw two trail markers but it's pretty hard to get lost. I went on a rather gloomy day, so the whole experience had a bit of a fallout 4 vibe.

The trails themselves are very nice if you’re looking for rugged natural areas. This review is based on the area. I started hiking here at lunch a few days ago and yesterday discovered a campfire that had gotten out of control. My assumption is that this area is close enough to downtown to have homeless people camping here. I will not be going again. If you are in a group you may feel safe but I would not go alone or with smaller children.

Rode from University Street to Downtown Fort Worth. Seven miles round trip. Fun easy ride.

Beautiful view but like a previous review, there is a bunch of trash and way too much broken glass all over the trail. No markers either.

Nice trails, love all the switch backs. The lack of trail markers wasn’t a big deal to me because there’s a map at the trailhead. This place could be so beautiful if it weren’t for all the trash. Unfortunately, we share this planet with lazy fucks that don’t respect the beauty that surrounds us.

Great if you’re walking with a small child and/or stroller.

Paved trail. Pretty nice except some idiot decided to run his pickup truck on the trail.

Pretty nice paved trail, my only complaint is that some idiot decided to run his pickup truck on the trail.

Lots of trash, no trail markers, not appealing.

Nice little paved walking trail. I also had trouble locating the starting point. the trail is marked better than the roads. At the fork I headed for the south obsevation deck. There is a dirt path for mountain bikes but I don't recommend hikers taking it as there is no room to step aside if a bike comes through. Nice path, plenty of shade and several porta-potties. Great trail if you have mini-humans riding in a stroller.

Went with my husband. First thing we noticed was all the broken glass everywhere. It was ridiculous. Then the garbage all over, and I usually stop and pick the trash up but there was too much on this trail. There was 1 trash can that we came across along the trail. It’s unmarked as well. We passed 2 groups of people who were trying to get down to the water. We lived in CO for 7 years and hiked numerous trails within the springs and have never seen as much garbage and broken glass. We call it Hep C falls now. It was disappointing. My husband and I agreed, if the city took any time at all clearing some of the paths, marking some trails, and cleaning up this place it could be great.

Go towards the end of April/early May, and you will see all the wildflowers you have ever dreamed of.

Would be a favorite trail if it wasn’t for the trash and glass. I wish they could clean it up. :(
