Fort Worth, Texas Map

easy trail, not moderate

Good paved trail. But it appears that nobody cleans up after there dogs. And there everyone’s dog prefers concrete to grass. Other than that. Good little trail.

Great trail for a run. There are plenty of additional trails to keep you busy and provide some add-on mikes if you like. Lots of folks early in the morning. Restrooms (port-a-pottys) can be found along the trail. Maybe take your own tp...

Technical rocky trail, good climbs, sometimes insects get after you (stings, bites) in the areas with dense vegetation. MTBers help take Card if he trail, but watch out for them.

Easy to moderate in some areas, overgrown with tall grass in some areas, very few trail sign...lots of horse manure. Part of the trail follows the paved road. Good distance out and back.

Great challenge for beginner/intermediate trail runners. Will put you in your place after a full 7 mile plus route. Easy for just hiking. Clean, wildlife abundant especially at dusk, and quiet away from the city noise. One of the best we have in DFW.

I thoroughly enjoy this park! I do have severe asthma and these trails have the perfect amount hills and flat land for me. I'm training myself for long backpacking trip and I'm so glad I have 7-8 miles of trails close to me. Beware if it get close to 105 degrees make sure you have plenty of water. I met too many people not prepared.

Should be rated at Easy. Great solo walkabout. No trash. No alligators.

Great location with a pretty moderate hike and nice views of the lake.

Scoped this place out for my son’s Cub Scouts. Overall, it’s a nice set-up. We enjoyed the views, with lots of trees and rugged terrain. In some areas there was a lot of trash. We came across a sleeping bag and two sets of clothes, undergarments and all. Not sure where the people belonging to those clothes were.

Best part of the trail is the Airfield Falls portion.
Although sometimes the river has a pungent odor to it.

The waterfalls dry up quickly so it’s best to get there after a decent amount of rain fall.

Always a fun hike for the past couple of years. However, I’m seeing more trash and cigarette butts. It’s unfortunate.

This trail is rated "easy" but it has enough terrain difference to provide a challenge to all. Since it is also an equestrian trail, it can be covered in horse droppings. When wet, it gets muddy.
This is listed as a 7 mile loop, but the southern part of the trail in not well marked. side trails are not marked either.

good trail around DFW. clean and well maintained trail. some area with direct exposure to the sun...be sure to wear hat, sunscreen and bring ice cold water and prepare to numerous uphill and downhill.

Wow! Great variety of trails with good ups and downs and nice views of the lake. Not all parts are shaded, especially on the southern half, so bring water and a hat. Ample parking too.

This is the perfect place to visit if you want to get in a good hike and breathe in good air. The beauty of the green earth, the trees and the animals is humbling.

Good hiking trails and decently tough too. Great views of the dam, but quite a bit of trash. Broken bottles along the way too so wear good shoes and be careful with a dog.

Lots of people on a Saturday. Kid friendly.

Great. Well maintained trail. Its lit at night, as well. Only downside is that there is no shade.

I love this trail!! It’s easy to access, great parking area, lots of activities and beautiful scenery. We usually ride it with our mountain bikes, but have also walked it. Paved almost completely.

This is an underrated trail in my opinion. The first mile isn’t great but after that it gets really nice. We saw deer, quail, and armadillo. It is an easy hike but very scenic trail. My only complaint is it is a little dusty.

Would be more fun for bikers! The trail was initially more peaceful and captivating but after a mile in, the scenic views were not that appealing. I would go back to River Legacy to walk if you need to go to a place nearby.

love this park and the trails...all well maintained!

- Paved
- Easy to access
- One cool area to get some photos

- There were a couple of homeless people living in tents in the park off some of the paths
- Goes through residential neighborhood
- Only 40% shaded — brought our dog and weren’t impressed

There was so much trash. Very sad

Beautiful views!

Feel like this is more of an easy, than moderate. All paved which isn’t ideal to me but would be good with bikes.
