Peaceful, family-friendly, paved pedestrian/bike path through a park that loops White Rock Lake. There are multiple parking lots around the pathway. White Rock Lake is a city water reservoir constructed circa 1900 to supply water to the growing Dallas area. The surrounding land has been turned into a picturesque city park and is, in turn, surrounded by neighborhoods. A paved multi-use pathway circumnavigates the lake with several (apparently older and unmaintained) walking pathways branching off at various points. Interconnects with other pathways. Accessibility: The trail is paved, smooth, typically at least five feet wide, and mostly gentle with an estimated grade of 5% or less. The steepest section is at the southernmost tip of the Lake.Show more
