Perfect trail for hiking! Long way and good obstacles to work out.

This is about as good as it gets for Dallas. It's a really nice trail with ups and downs for running. I'm not a biker, but I can see why they would come here.

Arrived at 7:45 - was already pretty crowded. (Enough that I felt it necessary to wear a mask.) there are shady spots if you arrive early - I got one. Nice ups and downs, very shady.

What a great trail. We went on a weekday and parked by the boat ramp. We felt we had the trail all to ourselves until we reached the Trinity River Audubon parking lot. On total we probably seen 7 people. The trail is less maintained by the boat ramp but it was kind of nice riding through with the feeling like you had discovered an unknown trail. We will be back.

Yesterday. A turtle in the middle of the track, Today, a baby hawk.

There were bullet casings on the ground. Did not look safe.

It was great

This trail was pretty busy and clearly marked. Some parts of it were pretty rocky and elevation decline and incline is very apparent. But worth it when you reach the top.

Like Katy trail, it is very nice, long enough, and well paved. Good for exercising. However it gets crowded in the weekend and at popular hours (5-8pm) with dogs, bikers, runners...

This is my favourite and most used trail in Dallas. Very convenient and long enough to exercise. However it gets crowdy at popular hours (5-8pm) with bikes, dogs, runners...everywhere. Not ideal for kids.

Simple, and nice. The only flaw for me was the constant flying over of planes.

loved this trail, it was my first moderate rated trail and it was awesome. Nice and shaded in lots of spots, challenging with inclines and etc. My only problem were a group of people blaring music while they were hiking, but that can't be controlled. I would definitely recommend this trail!

Paved and cushioned trail. Part of trail is closed but there is an easy detour. Beautiful run. Crowded but lots of space to maneuver

The trail is under construction but still had a great walk. Broke my PR today! Yay for me I’ll do it again once construction is completed maybe then I can do the full 7.5 miles each way.

Went for the first time yesterday early afternoon and I loved it! Very well maintained, lots of shade, and lots of inclines and declines. Started on Cedar Brake and added other trails and we ended up with 4.4 total miles by the time we got back to parking lot. Great trails, some great views, and I can’t wait to go back!!

Really shady and nice trail. Some good climbs. Super super busy.

Súper buena ruta. Con subidas y bajadas. Excelente señalamiento. Entretenida pista para todos los niveles. / Pretty cool road. Ups and downs. Good speed in some sections. Really well signs. Great for all.

Aside from the paved section, much of the path has become overgrown, and almost impassable. The paved section, while short is shaded nicely by a canopy of trees. There is a barricade across the path before you get to the river, but if you cross it, the view of the river is nice. There are wild hog tracks everywhere, but we didn't hear or see any.

Snake. Bullet shells. Overgrown. Unable to get all the way to the Trinity overlook. Gorgeous path, but probably not coming back.

We cut it a bit short since it got dark. Overall enjoyed this. I can’t believe I’m in the middle of the city with apartments on 1 side and the highway on the other! It felt so much in the wilderness once you get into the trees.

Would consider this one of my favorite trails just for how long it can be and the different levels of riding available depending on the loops. All trails were mostly smooth except for 1+1=1 and loop D. had some nice water crossings and streams while being mostly treed. I will say that it’s very rare to see anyone on foot and even rarer to see dogs as it’s sort of full of bikers. If I remember the blue arrows are for the easier ways while red arrows are harder, but nothing too crazy. The main trail is blue and red arrows with the A loop (easy) being necessary to leave. B loop is also verily easy and is the only way to the C loop that is a bit more of a moderate level. D loop and 1+1=1 are also moderately challenging and on par with the red arrows. E loop is on par with C loop and definitely a recommendation, but it always seems to be a bit overgrown. Had a SUV driver ask me last time if walkers were allowed. Said yeah and watched a large family with small kids get out and walk over to the trail. Felt like I should’ve said no as just about every biker at the entrance was giving them dirty looks and I believe someone confronted them in Spanish as I was riding away. Also the parking lot fills up right away so you might have to park along each side of the street and not at the church.

I have hiked at Cedar Ridge Preserve many times, but this particular trailhead is not where all of the other ones start. It starts at the very far end of the parking lot. I ended going nearly 7 miles since I had to search a bit for the trailhead. I don’t see how you could hike this particular trail without this app, because there are no signs with this trail’s name anywhere. It’s just linking a bunch of different trails, so the app helps you navigate all of them. A lot of the trail is in the woods, but there are many portions in the blazing sun, too, particularly in the middle of the day. I would bring plenty of water and a hat or umbrella. Lots of scree, which may be tough on dog’s paws. Challenging trail, but FUN!

Easy, short, technical.
