A great hike. Wear long pants. We went through a lot of stickers. Well marked other than yuh get to one place and it seems the trail ends but you have to walk through some brush. Keep going, the lake and park is a good spot to snack and rest before heading back. They do have a swimming area. Very peaceful trail. That’s what we love. ✌

Did this trail today and I had such a good experience. Got lost once or twice due to some unclear markings but I managed. I was however the only one there. Very peaceful!

Very nice trail and very clean.

Great trails for beginners and intermediates alike. For beginners it's a great introduction to singletrack. Nothing really technical at all but the twisty stuff will improve your turning abilities. More experienced riders can have fun too! The faster you go the more fun you'll have...

My first time hiking this area. I had this trail as my destination for this area, however, I discovered this trail is marked for mountain biking. After a giving a try, i decided I'd be better off hiking on the Lone Star Trail close by. The Lone Star Trail is a better alternative since it is a hikers only trail. I had a great hike, mosquitoes were not an issue, came across a couple of snakes and no other hikers.

The milage on this seems a little off if you want to start and finish the entire trail on this map. We hiked 6.65 miles and made only half of the milage it truly is. Otherwise great workout and beautiful scenary!

Plenty of fast sections. not much in the way of elevation gain/loss, but still fun.

Not bad at all.

Decent hike, and moderately challenging due to the length of the trail. Varying plant life makes it entertaining and interesting. Pants might be recommended in late summer, when we got a bit scratched up from the knees down.

Love this park! Especially love the mountain bike race that takes place every spring. Fun, flowy trail with nice elevation change. Not too technical but will test your endurance. Hubby and I try and make it up there every chance we get. Bring cash to pay for land fee.

Beautiful trail for a good ride! I loved how the trail was challenging and exciting. The trail is clean and not many people ride it. A must ride!

Good hike. Took the whole family and everyone enjoyed themselves. We did not see much wildlife. They probably heard my kids coming well before we arrived.

This is a very nice hike. The trail is quiet and we only met one other individual. There is a nice creek and the trail bridges it several times. The southern end has a few trail alternatives so you can do some short loops. We saw 3 wild boar and I have heard they are mean(but tasty ). Great spring flowers and butterflies too.

Great trail easy going not alot of difficult terrain. Bring a camera great sites.

Absolutely fantastic trail for the beginner or if you think backpacking is something you might want to try. Its a short trail with a few loops that is part of the Lone Star Hiking Trail. It can be hiked in a couple hours so there is no need for a pack and gear. A walking stick or trekking pole and some water is sufficient which makes it great for the beginner or if you want to do a short nature walk. One of the loops will take you to Double Lake Recreation Area. Usage is light, trail is marked and well kept. Difficulty is very moderate, great for the kids too.
