Incredible hike. Great for morning. Make sure to wear good footwear and be aware that you may get wet!

Today was my second time attempting this hike. Last year, I hiked it at the beginning of August and it was about 72 degrees. It was breezy, so it was bearable! Amazing views the entire way. The top was the best part. Today we encountered a lot of clouds/ mist, so we only went up to the mile mark. However, just before we got onto the trail, we came face to face with a bear just past the parking lot. Due to the excessive rain/ time of year, the bears are more active (an abundance of berries etc)! One of the best hikes in the park!

This is a crazy amazing place. The end.

Cost: $7 per person.

Need I say more? Other states don't charge money to walk around in nature.

Wow I ran this trail along with Bobcat.
It was tough for me a flatlander.

Beautiful scenery along the river and through stretches of woodlands.

Take water.

I ran the orange or "playground" trail there's only a small section that is close to the playground most of it is in a tunnel of trees and green plants. It was fun but since it's September and last weekend's weather was pretty rainy, mud build up on my running shoes and there are areas that are wet so I had to stop running and carefully pass through. My recording is both on soil and asphalt but the park itself has a picture in various areas of all the trails they have and what to expect in each one. I suggest to thoroughly put on bug spray so you won't have mosquito bites after like I did. Although there is a possibility of snakes I am lucky to not encounter one since I mostly run on trail or grass by the side of the asphalt, just be cognizant of that. The deers make the run especially enjoyable they don't bother unless they feel like you are taking notice of them.

Great trail. Diverse scenery. Easy running paths. Take some lights with you in morning or evening run as there is a decent amount of traffic on portion by road.

Go to the end, see a nice pier in the bay.

Mosquito spray of course. Bring water.

A lot of mosquitoes. Take the wildlife signs seriously.

Nice hike on a warm day, interesting rock formations that look stairs.

Currently unable to walk the trail from Universal City Park to all of the way to Veterans Park as the trail is flooded by Cibolo Creek at the Nighthawk Trail trailhead. At the other end of the trail, the trailhead at Veterans Park is closed due to the flooding. The flooding is as result of the record historical rainfall in the area in September.

Beautiful trail with a lot of stimulus to keep your mind busy when running. There are parts that are very difficult and steep and it can be slippery when muddy. Heavily trafficked on the weekends

Have been here a couple times. Would be a great place, however, it is not maintained at all. All of the bridges are in disrepair, the trails are beginning to grow up and there are downed trees.

We've hiked this trail several times. Nice area. Great for a day hike!
