Super easy hike! Wish it was longer

Decent trail that ends at a lookout point. Good for my 12 year old and I.

This trail is marked “closed” due to flooding. The Ranger I spoke with said there was no timetable regarding repairs or reopening.

This trail is very well kept and very well marked and plenty of others hiking on this day, many with their dogs. There are several incline and declines and was easy/moderate. Most of the hike is shaded which is a plus in the Dallas summer heat. Facilities at the trail head and also a butterfly garden. I highly recommend this hike.

Closed for maintenance. Open again Sept. 2018

Very easy hiking trail, definitely kid friendly and not bad for mountain biking if you are so inclined. This trail branches out to some other small trails as well that contain some very pretty lookout areas, and of course ducks are super cute so that's a big plus.

Great warm up trail. Take the Plum Trail off of this trail to extend the hike and check out the scenic overlook.

This was an excellent place to come the first day of Spring. Just beautiful to look out over all the green trees. After the initial increase the trail isn’t difficult but the kids were really struggling that first little bit.

Seester time! We needed one more hike in before our day ended. Since this is right beside the Cedar Hill SP, we chose it. I’m sure it is sooo much better when it isn’t muddy. It rained many inches last week and the trail was a mess. Another obstacle was the improvements being done near the road. It took as a while to figure out how to get to the trail. Once that’s complete I’m sure it will be great again. We will need to do this trail again.

One be of the best trails in DFW. Beautiful and challenging. And crowded on nice weekends, so come out on a weekday if you can. Still awesome either way and worth it.

Easy trail just be smart and carry a bottle of water maybe a 20 ounce and some snacks

Great trail, goes down and up a few times. Lots of rocks and great stops with benches and Cattail pond has a little rest area and there is a look out tower on the trail. Easy to moderate, moderate due to the inclines and descents. Took my dog, lots of other dogs, all on leashes, people seemed to be very polite and aware of dog etiquette.

I have been twice in 5 days, and I absolutely love it. There are so many different combos of trails that it doesn't get old... gotta visit this place.

This trail is easier than the Cedar Brake Trail but does have one fairly steep incline. I avoid this trail on busier days, since most hikers tend to stay on this trail instead of veering off onto one of the adjacent trails. There are also a lot of dogs on this trail, occasionally one off leash. But no bikers!

During the summer check out the red flowering plants directly to the right of the restrooms before entering the trail area. You'll see lots of hummingbirds.

Trees were blocking half of the trail so I couldn't finish it but it was very easy hike.

Parts of trail were closed. Not much water in the pond today.

Great for family hiking. Benches along the route make for easy resting if you need it. A few nice observation points throughout. My 9,7,5 boys love it. Leave no trace. Keep it beautiful.

Warning - trail closes at 5 pm! Not open on Mondays. We will definitely go back to explore the trail when it's open. The nature play area near the parking lot is really neat for little kids.

Beautiful nature trails thru the woods. You feel like you are miles away from the city!

very enjoyable!

Pretty simple trail. Too short for my liking, but I ended up turning back and taking a trail off the main path (which is a no-no) and hiked straight up to enjoy a lake view. That short hike up was challenging a bit, which I liked since it was a short trail. A copperhead was killed there so be safe if you take the no-no route.
