An easy walk around the river with views of the capitol building and the river. It can be extended to reach nearly ten miles or shortened to make this far less. A trail for a run as it is mostly flat.

It was cute .5 mile loop. I walked around four-five times around to equal 3.0 miles and being dogs watching since I don’t have dogs. This is a good place off leash for dogs to play and swim. I’ll come back again with friends and their dogs. LOL!

Spent a little over an hour and hiked all the little trails here. nice to find a place where dogs are not allowed and there isn't dog feces littered all along the trail. Water was pretty low in the waterfall.

The trail is alright, not really anything that scenic. This is a designated off-leash dog area, so expect to see lots of dogs off-leash. Saw a lady with 11 dogs, all off-leash. She also had no baggies to pick up after the dogs. Hmm... Lots of people who use this trail are incapable of picking up their dog's crap. There's also lots of people who will bag the crap then leave it sitting by the side of the trail. Stretches of this trail are permeated by the smell of dog feces. Saw a bag of dog crap someone left about 50 feet from the trash can. Also saw a pile of dog crap at the informational sign, within 20 feet of the doggy pickup bag dispenser and the trash can. So, if you like mediocre scenery as well as the smell and sight of dog poop, this is the trail for you!

Couldn't find the entrance as it is posted on the map so as a previous reviewer mentioned we parked at the Highland visitors center and walked to the trailhead. With all the construction towards the end you can't find the trail, just paved streets, it really detracted from the hike.

Hiked this bit as part of the longer 10 mile loop

Great little trail. Rocky at first, but then it evens out. Nice and shady!

Great trail to hike with your dog off-leash. Weekends are busiest, but everyone is friendly as well as the dogs. Go during the week if you like less foot traffic. It’s easy to get lost so make sure to follow the signs!

Beautiful views but crowded and short, but it was beautiful!

Perfect hike for a random sunny day in February! A little rocky, but overall very doable and very pretty. Just watch out for bikes!

This is more of a hiking trail with ups & downs. Very crowded on nice weekend days with families, Scouts, etc. probably due to the short length of each trail and they have nature programs for folks. if I go here, I usually run 2-3 loops and go early in the morning or almost dusk. There is water and restrooms at trailhead

I love taking my dog here for some off leash hiking and creek time. The water gets gross when the water level falls so I would not recommend if it hasn't rained in a while. I have come across snakes on the trail and in the water so keep a good eye out.

This trail isn’t bad. My biggest complaint was the sewage smell in parts. It was also pretty muddy and slippery. I also didn’t like the part of the trail that made you walk through a neighborhood. There wasn’t signage in the neighborhood so I had to pull out my phone to be sure I was going the right way. Signage on the actual trail was pretty good! Otherwise, this trail would be a nice place to bring kids or go for a quick run/walk.

Great trail for people who are active but are beginning to hike ! It has challenges like elevations, passing through rivers, going under trees. It’s really nice !

Pretty well trafficked. There are a few steep inclines and the scenery was nice but the trail itself was a bit short.
