An easy walk around the river with views of the capitol building and the river. It can be extended to reach nearly ten miles or shortened to make this far less. A trail for a run as it is mostly flat.

I rolled this paved trail with my wife, son, and old Labrador retriever. Nice paved trail two lanes for bikes in the summer it would be brutally hot without shade. Today it was 59° breezy it was beautiful good workout

Rented a Bike from Austin Bike. Awesome views, smooth trails, low crowds on a weekday.

Great running path, trail markers at every half mile. Lots of bikes but everyone is considerate. Next month they will be closing the trail for Hwy 183 work so if you’re starting from govalle park you’ll only have about 1.5 miles before you have to turn around.

Nice trail. Started in the woods beside Lamar and then turned into a beautiful neighborhood with lots of big houses to look at.

A tiny stroll through nature. You’ll only get exercise if you pair it with walking around the surrounding neighborhood which has a few hills. Each time I’ve been there I’ve seen deer, though.

Really awesome city trail. Easy to navigate. Very clean. Crowded in some spots but not too bad on the weekday. Great for running!

This is my ‘home trail’ for >25yrs. Flat loops of 2.9, 4.1, 4.5, 6.9 & 10 miles. Want to see people? Stick West of First St bridge. It does get crowded on weekends after 8am as literally everyone and their dog is there, but still plenty of room on this wide trail. Want more peace & quiet? Head east of Congress Bridge and it’s less crowded east of I35. Want a treat? Sunrise over downtown from the south shore. Not many people, the Lake is glass and the colors are amazing bouncing off the buildings and water

Trail ride with Jillian and Jenna. North of 29th was a little rough. Had to get off bikes and walk. There were cliffs that we had to ride around.

Pretty clean trail. It’s all paved on this route.

Nice urban trail! Easy to walk. A little rocky. Hard to spot Lady bird lake - bridge on Lamar Blvd or Lou Neff are the closest options.

Great trail and a beautiful day to walk.

Nice older paved trail thru opens fields with trees scattered thru out and around the edges. Some wooded areas with some gentle hills that give nice scenic views. Lot of deer. Lots of sun with a few spots of shade. I do wish there were a couple of benches because it would be a nice spot to sit for a bit. Park runs behind houses. Overall nice place for relaxing walk on a sunny afternoon.

Not for me. This neighborhood is stunning, but this trail does not do the homes justice. Entrance is pretty trashed and questionable, and the walk has that “abandoned” feeling to it. Walking the neighborhood is much nicer.

It was a good trail with some beautiful views of the Austin skyline. I logged in about 12 miles on the loop. I'm only giving it four stars because there is so much traffic on this trail. People are everywhere! With the people and the cars driving by, there is little serenity.

Nice way to see the beauty and eclectic nature of Austin. Biking is fun, sand and gravel are ok...if you have a sensitive road bike...then maybe different tires are better for this ride. I went on a Monday, after ACL...pedestrian traffic was lovely, we shared the trail. Lots of stops for photo ops. The city has so many gems.

Still my favorite 10 mile loop to run in the country

I really enjoy riding my hard tail through this trail. What would make this trail have 5 stars would be the addition of more features here, like berms and north shore skinnies.

Many options. 3, 5, 7 and 10 mile loops.

Somewhat of a disappointment. This may in part be due to the spectacular hikes I had last week in Ketchikan, Alaska. This trail is fully paved unless you take some off- shoots which had lots of bike tire tracks on them. Also this trail should be recategorized as easy since it had almost no elevation change. I will definitely seek out a different trail on my next trip to the area.

Dog friendly trail. You may start from the unleashed park. A good 10 mile stretch with lovely greenery, lake, and city views. My and my german sheperd's favorite part of Austin.

Simple paved loop around a public park. Out in the open a lot with little shade, perfect for strollers since it’s all paved. Some light and moderate inclined depending on the direction you choose to go. I would go early in the summer to avoid sub, also two wonderful playgrounds - one for littles and one for bigs that are well out together with sun shades over them

Nice trail, we ran it twice last week (7/19-720) and definitely enjoyed it. Great for combining running on dirt trail and concrete.
