It was nice walking this trail, but I wish there was water.

shaded trees and water trails. lots of trails to walk around.

The homestead Trail was nearly impossible to find. I went out there once before and couldn't find it at all. I went out there second time with my cell phone that had a GPS map on it, and I almost missed it again. My friend and I walked down it a little bit and it's really overgrown. We turned around after about a half-mile because there was a huge spider webs crossing the trail with a huge spider on it. We figured is that was at the beginning of the trail, where most people probably walked, it was just going to get really primitive later on. The Onion Creek Trail, which we did only that loop instead of doing both loops, was nice but a little boring.

Flat, easy trail that’s well trafficked. Great for a stroll with your pups. The best part are the falls at the very end of the trail. (Don’t settle for the “falls” at the halfway-ish point). The falls at the end create an oasis where you can swim in CLEAR WATER (not greenish-brown) and even lounge around them to catch a tan. The area is usually pretty busy in the summer and you can catch some friendly puppers and their humans taking a dip before beginning their trek back.

Water was dried up for the most part, some at the end of the trail! Really cool ending and it was pretty flat all the way!

Cool park, didn’t love trail running here. Would be great for dog walking and mountain biking

Nice trail, not overly crowed. Stream was drie so no waterfall.

None of the parts of this trail are particularly hard, but you'll feel a bit tired after this trail, as the trail is consistently moderately strenuous. The trail is well marked, and there is very little traffic out here -- you might not see anybody else on the trail.

Loved this trail, great views and a couple nice waterfalls at the end of the trail! Plan on going back more often.

The hike was to easy for me, but still enjoyed swimming in the Creek and taking in the scenery. Wont be back for hiking though.

Beautiful hike but Creek was dried up

I wouldn’t follow this, stick to the trails. I was bushwhacking half way through and county continue because of the overgrowth.

As an in-town, beautiful, easy access trail, it’s about as good as they come.

my favorite place in Texas <3 great views and easy trails. plenty of places to cool off too.

Super awesome trail. I will be back again to venture out after completing this trail to include the others around it. I had fun.

Pretty hike but the waterfalls have dried up. Not sure if they’ll be back for the season but the creek bed was completely dry.

A nice maybe 15-20 minute walk to the water fall, if that. I took my 3 year old here today to do a little hike and swimming. The grass was a bit overgrown and there were a few flying critters around, but overall not bad because it was a short trail. The water was 1 ft maybe 1.5 in areas but mostly just a few inches so it was the perfect height for my 3 year old to walk and splash around as he pleases and me not be too worried. He was wearing his KEENs which I would recommend for children; he did not slip once.

Plenty of single track mostly flat with an occasional climb and rocky decents. lots of hidden gems. very nice scenery. there is a section where slaughter creek turns into a mini canyon with at least 30ft walls on each side. trails are rugged enough to get your heart pumping. Best part is you cant get lost. All single tracks eventually cross the main paved loop.

Easy relaxing walk...would be a great place to go fishing if there were not so many families swimming. The waterfalls were non-existing due to lack of rain. Trail was EASY! Trails were not marked so it was hard to tell which trail you were on. Lots of people. And this was on a Monday afternoon walk.

Excellent urban multiuse with tons of smiles given and taken

This is a wonderful park with many, many trails both large and small. You can find a trail that's right for a beginner as well as those for the more experienced hiker. If it rains the Creek swells close to the entry point but you can always enter by the South entrance and not have to walk through water. The park also includes the soccer field, a baseball field, a play ground, disk golf and restrooms. The restrooms are only by the North parking lot. Many of the trails are truly shaded but there are still some sunny spots. A beautiful Creek runs along one side.

Nice and wide. Does a loop so you return to your starting point.

Nice for a leisurely walk with your pet, decent scenery. Not my favorite of the choices of hiking around Austin, but the falls were nice.

Lovely location specially for walking dogs and family relaxing. Beautiful
