An easy walk around the river with views of the capitol building and the river. It can be extended to reach nearly ten miles or shortened to make this far less. A trail for a run as it is mostly flat.

One of the easier trails I've ever done and I'm not in shape right now. It's not a walk in the park but I really don't see how this is hard, unless you are running or you are injured. The trail itself is a great experience. We didn't find a great overlook over the city or anything, it was overcast anyway, but the creek is lovely and makes for a number of photo opportunities. It took us 4 hours including lunch and frequent breaks on a slow pace.

Nice, clean, well marked trail. Easy, flat terrain. Moderate traffic.

I like this trail. It was my first time here. Half rocky and half flat. I like rocky part to make it challenge and ofc there should be water there but it has not been rain much lately. Would love to go back again when water fill up!

Great workout!

Started at 290 and turned around at the bridge. Nice trail, pretty busy with bikes and hikers. Traffic noise so you don’t feel away from it all. Good bit of trees and it is well marked.

Flat and uneventful. Not much to keep you interested if MB’ing this Trail.

Great little trail. Rocky at first, but then it evens out. Nice and shady!

A good mix of things to do. Plenty of places to turn around. A couple of low water crossings.

Beautiful views but crowded and short, but it was beautiful!

Perfect hike for a random sunny day in February! A little rocky, but overall very doable and very pretty. Just watch out for bikes!

I gave this one 4 stars only because of the steep fees. I get the intent, but $10/head is a tad overboard. Go when they don’t collect. In fact, if they didn’t collect, I’d probably throw in a few $$ when I go. Running? Get ready for a tough scramble up the hill. Bottom part is very enjoyable, so if you don’t want the climb, start at bottom, go to hill and turn around. Great trail— your quads will love you for it!

This trail isn’t bad. My biggest complaint was the sewage smell in parts. It was also pretty muddy and slippery. I also didn’t like the part of the trail that made you walk through a neighborhood. There wasn’t signage in the neighborhood so I had to pull out my phone to be sure I was going the right way. Signage on the actual trail was pretty good! Otherwise, this trail would be a nice place to bring kids or go for a quick run/walk.

I live only a couple miles from this place as jsut love it. I usually always take my coonhound, Bonnie, and most of the year the creek is flowing so she can drink along the way. It’s challenging enough to burn a few hundred calories but easy enough for it to still be an enjoyable hike on a Saturday morning! I love this place so glad I found it.

Beautiful trail that follows Walnut Creek. 4 stars instead of 5 because there is a lot of trail cutting in this park and it makes it difficult to know where the trail is at times.
