Explore the most popular hiking trails near Arlington with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

Went on a hike the trails are not well kept at all. There is a lot of trash and the trails get lost the deeper you go in. If you enjoy bike riding I recommend this one for sure.

Quiet and peaceful!

Quick walk and convenient, something quick for a talk with a friend. Bridges and some water.

stay on pavement or take primative trails, Wildscape is terrificin hot summer days

quick way to go from city to country

Primitive trail in nature preserve, overlooks Fort Worth to the West, preserves Glenn Rose Yucca and other native plants. Join Friends of Southwest Nature Preserve.

Awesome, I always enjoyed the this park.

Great gumdrop of a nature trail where you would least expect. Bridges, rivers, multi level terrain, you might want to lap Go a few times though or this trip down the rabbit role will go by too quickly.

Trail was extremely difficult and I ended up getting lost for about 3 days and I had to set up camp in the middle of the woods. The first night in the woods was the worst because it was dark and I had no fire but after shotgunning a couple beers I felt perfectly fine and passed out. Day two was used mainly for foraging for food and hunting small game. At the end of the day I ended up spearing 6 squirrels and 9 lizards for dinner which is an average day for me. Fire was easy for me to get going the second night due to the lighter and pack of cigarettes I found. Still the worst part of all of this was no toilet paper so I ended up just using my hands to wipe but I still had some brews with me so I was ok. Day three was a short one for since I was low on beers so I went skinny dipping in the pond before shotgunning my last 4 beers. Afterwards I walked my car home while singing sweet home Alabama with one shoe in my ear.

Great trails

super easy, super short, not clean, not that interesting, not really worth it.

decent for dog walking. mostly flat trails, with a couple miles of pavement too for easy walking.

My small dog and I explored the small off trail, trails today...it was nice to see some beautiful red birds, turtles and fish. However, most the fish we saw were from people pulling them out of the small pond. So...bring your poles! Still lots we did not have time to see.

I've been walking this loop while nursing a knee injury. I'm up to about a 7 minute half mile. I didn't find it in an all trails search, so, I decided to record and post it. Practicing for bigger things to come. I do multiple loops as my knee gets stronger, to get the distance I want. It's got a nice atmosphere for a very small park. It can get tough to find parking if the soccer kids are practicing there though.

Nice hiking

it's sad yet disgusting how people in the city trash places....and tx has some of the highest property taxes in the nation, yet our corrupt officials can't even keep our parks clean. yet they drive fancy cars...wear designer suits...and make tons of money that isn't "salary". this trail is a stain on our cities. a true testament to how polluted our government has become

Long peaceful and wooded.

Paved bike path that mostly runs along the retention pond next to the new(ish) Viridian neighborhood. Unfortunately, because of this, the sights on this hike aren’t extremely varied and are fairly unremarkable. Really starts to feel like you’re on a proper hike about 1.5 miles before the trail terminus. Worth checking out once if you live in the general vicinity of River Legacy Park but I’m sure you’ll see why I won’t be going back any time soon.

good trail walk but unclue the exact route... Lots of trash & homeless tents.... its not kept clean/ up its sad ;(

Follow the disc golf course for added elevation and terrain changes.

Pretty quick and easy trail. Trail head is off Brown Blvd.

I wanted to go to the "Screaming Bridge." After some research I found out that's not even the right bridge and the real one is gone. These are nice trails, but there's lots of bikers.

This place was beautiful!! There's lots of side trails. I want to go back and explore again. Preferably with a friend.

nice but shorr

Trail is much longer, goes to the 7 mile marker. Usually see armadillos, snakes, rabbits, raccoons, bobcats, coyotes, and various birds. Trail runs across and beside the Trinity River.

Huge park and huge loop. Hikers and bikers go head on so they don't run into each other. Great layout with areas for people of all abilities.

very nice nature preserve

Very fun hike with nice paved trail and bridges then dirt trail with terrain. Shaded so it's not too hot. Only complaint is a lot of trash in the creek/stream. But definitely recommend

my husband and I loved it.
