on Benton Falls Trail

Absolutely beautiful. It is kind of confusing to figure out exactly where the trail starts. You cross the dam and just go straight. Did run into one snake. Well worth the hike to the falls though, very easy. Take your suits and swim at the "beach"!

Good hike seems long than 3 miles, well worth it for the waterfall

great time !

FYI this is not a hiking trail.

A favorite hike when it's not raining, as the trail can get pretty mucky in spots. It's about 3.2 miles back to front (30-40 minute walk depending upon your pace). My wife and I are in our 70s and can do this walk easily. It's fairly level, with a slight downward slant. The access to the falls are steep and there are rock steps along the way that can get slippery and there are no handrails. Agree with the others who have said the signage is poor. Once you locate the dirt trail just stay on the main portion (no side trails). It will lead you to the falls where you access a steep climb down. It's well worth the effort. We've had a lot of rain this season, so far, and so the falls are very full and picturesque. If the weather is dry, like in late summer, it's not worth it to see the dribble. Currently, it's at its peak. It's not the highest (65') nor broadest, but it's very pretty and relaxing. The water is pure enough to drink from. Park rangers really need to make the signs to the falls more explicit.

This a great hike to an amazing waterfall! It is rated as easy as it's true except the actual walk down to the falls. Could be hard for some! Definite repeat!
