This was fun! The hardest part was the beginning. It was relatively short, but it leads to a breathtaking view. I wouldn't advise bringing children though.

Gorgeous waterfall! I took my 86 year old mom to see!! It’s right by the parking lot!!

A very short but steep climb down rocks to get to the incredible waterfalls and swimming hole. We had a large group with dogs and kids so they had to stay behind. My 10 year old niece was able to climb the rocks easily. We did jump in but the water was freezing! We had to help each other get out of the water. I would not recommend for dogs or young kids.

My wife and I loved this place, Cane Creek falls was gorgeous!!

I want to like this trail but it was badly marked. There is no signage for this trail on the road, you have to AllTrails it in your phone. There were huge construction trucks working on the power line which took up the small parking area. I was little skeptical about parking there and leaving my car but I figured hopefully it would be there and not squished when I got back.
It’s a flat trail at first with a creek crossing in the beginning. Because of the lack of markers I guessed at a fork and of course guessed wrong. I ended up going up a steep rocky hillside trying to see if I could find the trail. It was getting late so I retraced my steps and went back down to the fork and back out. I did get to the mouth of the cave which looked extremely intriguing. I’ll definitely go back and try to find the right trail and then go into the cave.

Beautiful trail! Did it in the middle of the week in February and it was actually very trafficked. The falls was very pretty!

This is a great day hike spot. The top does appear to be a challenge but you quickly discover great large footholds that make it rather simple to climb. It is a lot of fun and the view is so worth it!

Trail can be a little intimidating but the view is totally worth it.

I’ve been hiking here since I was a child. Great day hike and plenty of other activities to do in the park.

easy.

Great hike! It is challenging, especially when you hike down to the bottom of the falls because the hike back up is a rough one. I love this state park and it holds so many different waterfalls so I would highly recommend that you try all of the falls out! Also, if you can get a chance to see these falls in the winter, I would highly recommend it!

Great, challenging trail well worth the hike.

Best trail at this great park! This trail provides awesome lookouts of Cane Creek Gorge, Cane Creek Falls, and of course Fall Creek Falls, and it really isn’t that long of a trail. I recommend doing this hike early in the morning and catching a sunrise at one of the overlooks!

Definitely a difficult trail, but it is completely worth it for the view of Cane Creek Falls at the bottom. This view is far better than the other two overlooks.

A little short and pretty sure I could do it barefoot.. but it’s beautiful

Had a lot of fun in the park with the family. Looking forward to going back. ; )

True, it isn’t very long...but it is TOUGH. I hike regularly on all types of trails and terrain, and as the review states, this is for experienced hikers. I feel like most of these reviews don’t accurately prepare first timer for the vertical decent and how it’s essentially scaling a rock wall in one area. Not for dogs and I personally would not attempt to bring children on this one. The falls at the bottom are BREATHTAKING though!

A quick hike for two hiking fans who don’t hike often! I was a little nervous about the moderate rating, but it was definitely manageable! We went down to the gorge so there were a lot of downhill steps which was the hardest part for me as someone with bad knees. Beautiful sight to see the bottom of the gorge and the base of the waterfalls this winter with icicles all about!

Short trail with spectacular views.

Beautiful. Make sure you go all the way to the top of dam. Lots of water today although I do not know what normal water level is.

This has been my least favorite trail ever. There were lots of spiderweb's, the trail was overgrown with vegetation and as a bonus, we got a bad case of chiggers. The beginning was very beautiful though. I loved the creek.

Cool trail. Plan on doing the Cable Trail, Fall Creek Falls, and the swinging bridge at Piney Creek Falls on the same day. All short but amazing.

I had a blast on this hike, only bummer was length. I wish it was just a little longer! Make sure you wear good shoes, it got wet and slippery in places but overall I had a great time. 4/5 stars for me due to trail length, 5/5 otherwise.

I really enjoyed this hike. I do recommend wearing shoes/hiking boots with some grip and taking a camera! What beautiful scenery! The Falls were lovely!

Nice little trail, not to tiring but enough to know you hiked. Pretty much all age groups, just keep an eye on the younger kids around the gorge area.

This is a beautiful and easy hiking trail! Well maintained, well marked, the trail is very easy to follow. There is some elevation but most of the trail is at water level. The beginning of the trail is 0.6 miles from the inn but there are a couple other parking points to access.
