Took my dog on this trail for her first real hike. It's a great trail. Lots of very narrow trails, roots, and rocks to maneuver, but worth it. There's no real end to the trail, it just merges into Blue Hole Trail, but as soon as you go down the stairs at the beginning of Blue Hole there's a gorgeous waterfall to walk right under and cool down.

By far my favorite hike this year! If you love water, this trail is for you. Short, but challenging. Waterfalls everywhere! You will get wet! So beautiful.

Wonderful easy trail at noon today. Only ones on the trail, could see the river and was just gorgeous.

Pretty nature trail, but there is not a waterfall on this trail. You can hear it, but you can't see it. Do the Blue Hole or the Twin Falls trail for better views.

Lots of elevation! Both ways. We’ve decided Rock Island trails will be super good in the winter. We’ll be back!

Not a bad trail. Strenuous but short. Better in winter I suspicion.

Nice shady trail near the river edge. Saw a new born deer. Good breeze off the water. Super nice!

Last week we visited Blue Hole since the gorge is closed due to the dam pouring into the gorge. Although there is no swimming at Blue Hole, if you hike to the top you will walk along several waterfalls and you will get soaking wet. At the bottom of the trail it’s pretty much a gauruntee to see water snakes and people fishing. They have made huge improvements to this trail over the past year. It’s pretty steep and they have done a wonderful job making it a much safer route down. I personally love this trail and you can easily make it a half day if you just explore. Keep your eyes open for water snakes (non-venomous) they are heavy this time of year. And I promise they want nothing to do with you.

Nicely wooden trail, was really empty when I went out early Saturday morning, a nice loop with a bit of elevation in parts. Not too many views of the rivers but you will catch a few during this summer season. Did this one after doing the twin fall trail, just had to make a 10 minute drive between trailheads.

Although very short, it's a blast. Really steep to get down to the bottom of the falls but so so worth it. You can see spots where people have went off the trail to get closer to the bigger falls. Our family bored that this was or favorite trail that we have done this summer. To get to the bottom though we ended up taking our socks and shoes off so we could get down closer to the main part of the falls. Tons of photo opportunities at the bottom of the trail.

I walked this last week. Check out my YouTube channel for the video. Search for RJ Macready

This trail is about 2 miles there and back but then again that is estimated off of a phone calculation

Not a difficult trail at all, which is sometimes a nice change! Was able to do the entire hike in about 50 mins. Nice shade. Didn't meet very many people on this trail but I also went earlier in the morning. Only thing I found a bit annoying was people playing loud music in one portion of the hike where there are cabins across the way.

Nice trail. Met quite a few people along the way. Really steep hike in many spots so shoes with good traction is a must!

Pretty ravine to hike down and across and then back up. Trail is extremely narrow making it hard to pass people coming from opposite direction though.

Great trail for comfort, relaxation to get you in the nature mood! Shaded for nice fresh cool breezes off the water. Definitely great for families!!

This was a great nature trail. You really get a “in the forest” feel. Steps are intense on this one

Eagle Trail has it all: wildflowers, wildlife views, and a beautiful waterfall! This trail stays pretty busy!

Blue Hole Trail is a really beautiful and quick hike! Make sure you have shoes with good traction because the rocks can be very slick when wet.

Trail is well maintained and easy access for most people. The falls are a huge attraction so it was a little crowded but theres plenty of space to have your own area. Keep walking past the falls though!! On the trail theres a ton of great views and small streams.

Worth hiking but end was flooded and over grown when I was there so I couldn't really see and enjoy the blue hike water.

Not hard, but worth the effort. Nice views of the river during winter.
