great loved the hike

easy walk down to the overhang. Interesting rock formations

Found this trail while geoaching in the area on 6/10/2018. The trail is fairly short but scenic. The trailhead kiosk had some interesting info on the "Pickett's Dark Sky Project".

The trail is not being managed and is currently grown over to the point of being impassable. I made it 1/10th of a mile and had to turn around.

Poorly marked and it needs to be a loop! Technically you can see it from either side of the falls but not connect the trails.

Walked all that way and it was dryed up was also chased by savage blood thirsty bees and there was spiders with webs like fishing line!!!!!

Great trail for the whole family.

A really amazing hike. Could not recommend it any more highly! So many beautiful cliffs and rock formations. The view at the end is great. Definitely an easy hike if you’re just looking for a brisk one.

I'd call this an easy to moderate trail depending on one's fitness level. if water is high, you may have some issues with a low bridge along the way but a great trail with beautiful changes in topography.

one of my favorite short hikes with fun obstacles, beautiful rock formations and endangered plant life. Cumberland sandwort I think it is.

Easy. Well marked & maintained. About 4.2 mi with spurs to Needle Arch & Slave Falls. Really nice hike with superb geology & water. Needle Arch very cool. Slave Falls is spectacular. Recommend going after a recent rain.

Beautiful trail to hike in the snow. Lots of ice and evergreens. Really enjoyed this trail

too easy to be considered a hike. if you're looking for an easy walk, this is it.

Easy hike with awesome views. Lots of places to explore on the trail. The rock shelter with all the boulders was a favorite of our group.

Nice little nature walk. Beautiful rockhouse. For those of you with walking problems make note it does have a bit of an elevation change.

Double back a little from the overlook and go down the steps into the canyon. Be sure to see the Killdeer Arch/ Mesas, you’ll still end up at Black house Mt Rd. Nice hike. About 3.5 mi. one way

Gorgeous view for minimal effort. Would wait a couple weeks for leaves to change for optimal hike.

Good hike, well marked, massive rock house.

Beautiful hike, but the trail needs some serious maintaince. The views from Thompson Overlook are staggering. I am looking forward to doing it again next year.

If you go you must take the trail that goes down under the overlook to see all this area has to offer, so much more to see than just the view from the overlook, much longer hike but well worth it.

Hiked this trail this past weekend. Beautiful views, overlooks, out cropping and plants. The trail was a. It confusing at some points. When you start at the trail head you will come to a sign about a quarter a mile laters. There are 2 paths, hidden passages is the one on the left. About a quarter mile later you will come to the Hidden passages spilt and you will want to go right.
There were a number of down trees and in some places the path is non-existent, but hey that's all a part of hiking:) this was a beautiful trail and I would def hike it again
