The steep drop-offs made me nervous, but it was a beautiful hike and the waterfall was an amazing destination.

A beautiful short "walk in the woods" Most of the way out to the falls is a gentle uphill and it is only a little more than a mile out. This path is all paved and the hike is good for all ages. Not a lot of parking so you should probably plan on being there early

Nice hike waterfalls worth the hike. You would enjoy it more if you don’t have young children. It was a bit crowded but we expected that.

Took this trail two days ago. Not what I was hoping for. Very very busy. The trail is paved but run down to about 3 feet across. A bit of an incline but manageable. The last half mile could be nerve racking to anyone that don’t like heights. The trail followed a ledge and rude hikers all over that are looking down the whole way and not watching where they are going. Causing people to hug the ledge. For an adult family it’s ok but anyone with little ones please control them and hold the tightly.

The falls were good but we visited at a way to busy of a time which ruined it for us. One infant had pooped there pants and the mother was washing it at the base of the first section of falls. Everyone below got to enjoy. The vehicle traffic was worse to get out. Tourist trap for sure.

Very nice trail, crowded right now due to springbreak.

I knew this was a tourist-filled trail before arriving, but I still wanted to hike it one time and figured a Tuesday in April wouldn’t be so busy because Spring Breaks are over. I thought wrong.

This trail is VERY EASY and paved- though it is not smoothly paved anymore. DO NOT BRING STROLLERS, you WILL regret it. There is up pavement and it is thinly paved in most areas.

It would’ve been much more enjoyable if people were conscious of those around them. Walking 2-3 people wide across a trail that can only fit 2-3 people in addition to traffic going both ways with different speeds of hikers is RUDE. Please for the love of gosh move over for faster hikers and stay to the right.

The waterfall is pretty, but it’s nothing immensely spectacular to draw such a huge crowd.

The falls are quite nice, but this is not a satisfying hike. It’s almost too easy. Paved path, heavily trafficked... not many views other than the falls

Excellent, although busy. This is NOT wheelchair or stroller-friendly.

Beautiful waterfall and some great views from this hike. The trail is paved; going up there's a bit of an incline, but the way down is very easy. Had to park about a mile away due to the crowds, even on a Tuesday in March. Lots of families and small children on the trail.

Beautiful!

Great trail for families. My 7 year old did it and loved it. It has areas that have steep hills but manageable.

Easy trail. We had a group of kids ages 4 to 11 and they did fine. The waterfall was great. Normally it’s a busy hike. The parking lot was almost empty, so we decided to give it a go.

Hikes up this 3/22/18 AFTER we finished a 5 mile hike around Cucumber. Was all uphill but worth the 1.3 miles up. Pretty falls!!!

I parked at Maloney point and walked over to laurel falls trail head. The views at Maloney did not disappoint.
There is a great bench w with a view on Laurel trail at point seven, or as the trail turns roughly northwest. Good place to have a sandwich and take in the beauty of this trail. However, the some of the best views of the landscape are between points 8 and 9.

It was uphill but worth it when you finally reach the waterfall!

Paved easy trail to the waterfalls. The waterfall is cool because there is a pathway in the middle, with some falls above and some falls below. Huge tourist destination and crowded though.

My review is from the perspective of an amateur landscape photographer

The trail itself is easy to find even though it’s unmarked. The trail is surfaced with asphalt which makes it mostly level and avoids tree roots, rocks, etc. Incline is steady but not demanding for anyone in average shape. The only area you should be aware of is a sharp drop off for about 200 yards as you finally approach the falls

Scenery is typical Eastern woodland with two notable exceptions. The first is a scenic view of the mountains and valley about 3/4 of the distance to the falls. (See my pictures). The other is Laurel Falls themselves.

The falls themselves are very photogenic but there are some considerations. First the upper falls are right off the trail. You’ll need a wide angle lens. Second, there are lower falls that can be reached by an unmarked trail 30 yards before the end of the main trail. Third the falls are very popular. I was there on a Monday in February when it was 42 F and there were 30 other people there. In the summer there be over 100.

If you are looking for something more secluded try Spruce Flats Falls.

Great hike, beautiful falls, watch little kids

Very easy hike up to the falls. And with all the rain yesterday, it was roaring. Great views of the surrounding hills. There are no rails, so not sure about with little kids unless they listen well.

Falls were roaring after yesterday’s rainfall !

Pretty easy hike on paved path, me and my 6 year old loved it. Great view of the falls! Uphill most of the way and downhill on the way back is a breeze.
