well paved....miles and miles of trail. kind of smelly by the river and a bit heavy foot and bike traffic

Really just a walk and not a hike. Beautiful view of downtown Nashville. Amazing city with amazing music and food.

Fantastic bird activity. Good less traveled area in the early AM.

Easy...flat and level but poorly marked and muddy in places. No shade. Great for kids and dogs.

Paved, tree-lined.

Not a hike. It’s a cool old mill site

Paved trail.

Peaceful, easy walk with plenty of observation points and side trails. Saw lots of bird activity. Would love to come back to do more exploring in this area.

Lovely paved trail. Wish it was better marked.

Not a bad trail, well trafficked, good scenery.

Great for a paved path - short connector section on the trail

Not all the way out of town and very easy. Did not enjoy

Great, clean trail for running or biking.

Great drive on northern part of parkway. Many nice little trails along the way and it is laid out nicely to create a sense of continuous green space

The trail was great! I started at the trail head at Kohl’s, went to the Dam and back. I was so glad to see restrooms at the dam. LOL there was a lot of traffic but not terrible. Lots of joggers, bikers and lots of dogs (all unleashes). I had tried this one earlier in the year but it was closed due to flooding. It was nice to be able to do the whole trek.

Nice hike through a field with a couple of stretches along river. Pretty peaceful on a nice afternoon. Not a lot of interest other than the lack of people and noise. Quite a few doe and like most places Leah rules aren’t enforced and are ignored by people who always know better so be a little cautious for everyone’s “friendly” dogs. We had a put make a nip at my wife’s leg but I’m sure that completely unusual since the owner didn’t even have as leash.

This is a great metro greenway that leaves from downtown nashville and follows the river north for nearly 6 miles before the turn around at a golf course. It’s all paved and flat for cycling or running and well manicured by mowing crews at the path edges and by goats for the embankment to the river. The downtown piece (maybe the first 2 miles) still are in the city, passing city buildings, apartments and warehouses along the river. After that, there are almost no trees since this is a raised greenway (to protect from river flooding), so wear your sunscreen. I see a lot of walkers, runners and cyclists out - but nowhere near an interrupting amount.

Not “moderate” it’s “easy”. All paved. Some steep spots if using wheelchair or baby carriage.

We started at the end of the trail beside Kohl’s and walked approximately 1 mile out and back. Trail was easy walking for us and the 4 year old. Stroller was easy to push. Saw many turtles in the river, some squirrels, a large salamander and tons of birds and butterflies. Unfortunately, we also passed a few questionable people carrying open containers drinking and this made us ( two women walking with children) uncomfortable so we haven’t gone back.

Great easy trail to do and the dog really enjoyed it.

Nice trail. Easy with a few small hills. There is some airplane noise but overall a very nice trail. We will definitely go back.

Very enjoyable trails. We also took the story time trail down by the river and it was beautiful to sit and enjoy.

Very well maintained, nice easy paved pathways, but has some real nice trails through the woods lots of wildlife. great greenway

Ya gotta love Nashville. A very enjoyable walk during a stressful time. I needed that!

This trail starts at the dam and runs along the stones river. It’s scenic for being in the city. I like the greenways for what they are-a tame bit of nature that inspires suburbia to get outside. There are bathrooms and a dog park at the dam end. I’m not a fan of paved trails, but I feel like it’s nice for bikers and joggers. There are usually a lot of people (another strike for me). But it’s close to where I live, so it’s a good place to get some exercise in when I’m short on time.

Completely paved trail... whoever reviewed this with the tag for mountain biking is mistaken.... yes you can ride your mountain bike here as I have just demonstrated - if you also want to be stopping for pedestrians every few minutes and getting strange looks from people who are wondering why you brought that strange bicycle with big tires out here
