A site dedicated to a very bloody battle in the Civil War. There's a lot of trails with varying lengths, all seemed easy. Watch the film in the visitor center for some insight.
The NPS tried to save all the battlefield they could, but the sprawl of the town swallowed up a lot of it.

It's a historical path through a Civil War Battlefield. It's not a hiking trail. However, if you love history and nature, this combines both. Visit the Welcome Center for a map and take a self-guided tour of The Battle of Stones River.

Hiked here with pup at least once a month. There are trails and greenways. Hiked 3.4 and only around half mile was on greenway. If you don’t know area get map from visitor center

Come here during fall would be nice but not summer.

I am leaving a low review because the name is misleading. This is NOT a trail. This is a greenway. If you are biking or running, it’s great. But we brought our dogs and they will probably now have blisters on their feet because it is almost ALL concrete.

Love it. The first part about 0.8 mile reminds me Charlies bunion via AT.

A wonderful cedar glade habitat hike! A little elevation change but not much. Good loop but was closer to 3.8 on my gps. Didn’t see a soul so a great place to escape.

It’s a great trail to walk/hike.

fun, easy trek. pick your pace, enjoy the view :)

Abandoned, overgrown, and an abundance of trash. Definitely would NOT go back!

This is definitely an abandoned area. There's caution tape blocking the road to where you used to park before the trail, but you can still park at the boat ramp and walk there. At one point in time, there were big boulders blocking the trail (as a deterrent), but someone with a truck or 4 wheeler has dragged 2 of the rocks out of the way. The trail itself isn't too overgrown, but there is loads of poison ivy and 3rd pic on trail depicts the mud accurately even on a dry hot day. My fam and I turned back at that point on our Mothers Day outing. There's an run down picnic area and building in the distance. Some more adventurous may be interested, but not our cup of tea.

Good little hike. Would do it again sometime. My first time here. Was a little muddy but manageable for sure.

Not scenic, popular with horse riders and a short easy hike close to Murfreesboro and Smyrna. Research abandoned town of Jefferson for history on the location.

If you are a first time visitor this isn’t a designed single loop, it’s connecting a couple trails to make a loop. From the nature center building go right for stream / river first or left for rock formations first. If you go right the trail goes Red-Blue-White-Red as the color to follow. Basically stay to the right at all forks.

I love this trail. It's the second time I have hiked it. 4/18/18 I done this trail and saw so many beautiful wildflowers. It's a fairly flat trail but a lot to see . It can be muddy in spots but still worth the effort to hike it. Not a lot of other hikers out on the trail which made it very peaceful day. I never saw any scary animals on this trail like the other review said just some birds. I will be back again. Loved this trail.

This trail is perfect for light to moderate exercising. Our dog loves it. We came here for light training a few times for a one night hiking/camping trip the following week.

This is an urban walk around an industrial building area and around a pond. It is pretty and the pond is nice. They have coin operated feeders to feed the ducks. I rated low because where the app starts the trail head is confusing. You park across the street at the greenway trailhead.

Great differing trails, good beginner trail with some nice views for vets.

Great place for a hike with kids.

Good hike. Kinda rugged. Dirt paths may not be suitable for young kids.

Isolated, overgrown, muddy. Also used as a horse trail so watch out for droppings. Abandoned recreation area with lots of shot up plastic bottles and shell casings. Not recommended unless you are with a group, know good self defense, or have a gun carry permit and armed. I will not return to this trail.

Rocky path in parts. great trail!

I like this trail because of the cedar glades and the wildflowers, the problem is that it is easy to get confused on the trail, it wasn't well marked when I went the last few times. Also it can be very muddy...but still worth it.

I love this place. I always see wildlife such as turkey, deer, chipmunks and more. It's also a great place to run. Very clean and safe.

For a local park, it's a great place to hike with the pups. Also fun for a trail run...

I love the history behind this trail. It is right near the neighborhood and makes for a nice convenient hike. Keep an eye out for deer. Great trail for running or day hiking.

Short Trail, nothing to see. Good walk in the park if youre bored. Very average

Nice local easy day trail. Not much to see besides a nice stream. Average day hike. Well maintained.
