Maryville, Tennessee Map

Easy and attractive trail. Can be a bit noisy near traffic if you cross onto the Alcoa section of the trail. A small dog park is included on the Maryville side. Friendly people and pets. Trail is paved and used, also, by bikes.

Easy walk paved trail with great sunset views.

When I lived in Maryville, I lived on this trail lol My hubby and I would ride it at least 3 times a week! It was great for scenery, wildlife and variety. It goes all thru Maryville and part of Alcoa. My favorite part was seeing all the turtles and fish in the ponds. Great greenway!

quick and easy hike with gorgeous views

New to hiking and not in the best physical condition. Distance was just right and the view is gorgeous! Go past the tower to enjoy climbing on some cool rocks!!

Had just a bit of trouble finding because we missed the entrance to foothills Parkway but once we did it was well worth it. Beautiful! I downloaded an image of the topography to see the names of the mountains. There’s not a map up on the tower.

Nice easy trail. Good view.

Our go to trail for a quick trip to the mountains. Go past the fire tower for some fun rock clambering for the kid's. Be careful! There are huge drop offs!

Easy hike to the fire tower for spectacular views of the surrounding area.

Short hike, beautiful view!

Short hike, loved the view! Definitely will go again soon

My reviews are from the perspective of an amateur landscape photographer.

First the trail is easy to find, well maintained, and asphalt. It’s initially a little steep but I maintained 2.0 /hour uphill so it’s not too steep.

The photography from the tower is just average. There is no foreground interest and trees have started to crowd out the view from the tower creating a cluttered look to your photos. There are a couple shots of the mountain range to the east but you really need a small telephoto lens to compose it without the tree clutter

I would only take this hike if you are looking to stretch your legs. Better landscape photos can be obtained from a pullout about 3/4 further west on the parkway.

Love this trail. Made me want to get a bicycle.

I love walking on the different sections of the Greenbelt. So many neat places along the way. Great place to walk, run, or bike, and see lots of nature.

Moderately easy, short hike - we went just after fall so many leaves covered the trail and made for a slippery outing, but other than that the views of both the Smokies and Maryville/Alcoa are amazing.

We are on the greenway all over town all the time. They are great! They are all paved which makes it perfect for a bike ride, walking or jogging. There are restrooms and water fountains along the way and places to picnic. Just make sure you use your etiquette and announce when you come up to pass someone and don't fly around blind corners. There may be someone on the path. There have been people road biking using the greenway as if they are on the road. They go way too fast where people are walking and having a good time with their children.
Other than the road bikers, the greenways are great!

When we found out Clingman's Dome wasn't dog friendly we had to alter our plans. This was the perfect end to our weekend. Paved walkway and spectacular views on this short, half mile hike slightly uphill. Worth it as tired as we already were. Thank you for the app!!

Nice, short hike with great views

Great views. Hike any distance you want. Hike to the tower has the best views

One of my favorite stretches of road

Beautiful ride through some amazing scenery

It was a few years ago but it was an unforgettable trip! Getting started, gearing up and dealing with permits is a pain, but once you get on the trail, it all comes together.
