Decent trail. Nothing particularly special. Some parts are marked really well, some are not. Ungodly amount of spider webs that you have to walk into. Would definitely do this in the fall so it’s less humid and “buggy” next time.

Very overgrown and buggy. Not much to see here except a walk in the woods. It wasn’t my favorite trail I’ve hiked.

Did this trail yesterday with my 3 kids. Nice easy trail. I kept doubling back to check on my kids. Wide trail that was graveled at the beginning. It was felt like a field the majority of the trail. Great trail for kids.

nice and easy!

Great place for flowers!

Nice trail mostly flat we will come back again

I’ll agree with many of the other reviewers who have said its pretty much just a walk through the woods. It’s nice though! The cedars are beautiful (& smell nice), and there are a bunch of wildflowers all around. My dogs really enjoyed it. We didn’t see many people yesterday, which was also nice!

More like 3.5 stars because this is basically a pleasant but forgettable walk thru the woods. There are a few ‘sinks’ and springs along the way, but nothing remarkable. By no means is this a bad or disappointing trail, instead it’s simply an easy 4.2 mile well-marked loop with a few stretches of tedium balanced by wildflowers and cedar glades.

Loved this trail, there were a ton of wildflowers and butterflies and some terrain and fauna changes along the way. Be careful of the sinkholes though, and know it may be quite wet and muddy during the wet season or right after a rain. I like listening to audiobooks while I hike, so it didn't feel too long or tedious, but on my own without any distraction, it would have been pretty boring. Took me about 2 hours to finish.

At 57 and New to hiking it was an enjoyable hike. I went there with my girlfriend and my son a US Marine so it was a cake walk for him lol.

Majority of trail is single track, overgrown brush and grass. Consider it a quiet walk thru the woods. Lots of sink holes that are hidden by overgrowth so watch your kids and don’t wander too far off the trail. My app and watch tracked the loop at 4 miles, not 5, but perhaps I made a wrong turn somewhere. I’m guessing it might be prettier after a nice rainfall. Not being from the area, I’m easily impressed by any greenery and nature. However, if you’re limited on time, I feel there are much better hikes around TN that are easy but still offer spectacular scenery.

Very easy walk. Nice sink holes and hidden - I'd call it a well. The trail is pretty well maintained and marked.

Just a walk in the woods..

very easy hike

Good day hike for some time in the woods. Not much to it, kid friendly but not recommended if it has rained recently. Expect wet/muddy conditions in several spots.

Ok peeps this is really a good tune up trail and would be great for the kids. Parking lot will only fit 3 car at a time but you could park on the side of the road. Not a difficult trail relatively flat with a few rocky areas here in there. Never saw any wild dogs or any this that would scare anyone. This trail just need to be hiked.

Good trail when it has not been rain as much as it has. Will be going back.

Great family hiking trail if you have younger children.

Mostly a walk through the woods. Trail was fairly well marked. Saw limestone formations and sink holes. No rivers. Terrain was easy.

This is an easy little stroll. We took our 17 month old and let him walk mostly on his own (some areas we picked him up or made him hold our hand when close to drops or over larger rocks). Otherwise, a quick easy hike with about 3 main rock formations.

No river. Very overgrown in some parts. Easy to lose the trail markers. Would not recommend.

I recommend this trail in the spring when all of the flowers are blooming. It is nice for exercise.

There wasn't a river, but there were some cool looking sink holes. Nice places to rest and enjoy lunch.

thought it was pretty boring

It's a nice trail kinda long, About 4.2 miles.
Mostly level and not too much climbing. Follow the white markers, you'll cross a horse trail several times that's marked with orange markings. It's 12 miles long but clearly marked so it shouldn't be a problem.
