These trails include waterfalls, creek walks, bluff views of the water and forest below, and some rock climbing opportunities. About six miles if you take it all in, probably more if you explore all trails. As stated, trails are very well marked. Go enjoy it!

great trail! not to hard, I'd say low moderate level. great views! we did it for a sunrise hike with #hikemoco and it was great! I've done this trail in 3/4 seasons now and it never disappoints.

fairly easy trail with a few sections that get the heart rate up. lots of side trails with some stunning views. fairly crowded on a Saturday.

We loved this area. Ran into the dog mentioned in another review. He was super friendly and hiked about 3 miles with us until we passed another hiker and he turned around and went with him. He’s a beautiful dog. Hope nobody ever tries to take him home. Those woods are his home and he would be so miserable if someone took him away from there. He showed us little overlooks that we would’ve just walked right past without him! We didn’t think the signage was great but we made it. We did some of the other little trails before finding point trail. The ending overlook is anticlimactic, but there are some beautiful spots along the way, especially if you do a little exploring off the beaten path.

This is a great moderate difficulty trail. It's marked well and nicely maintained. I didn't feel like I was lost at all. There are some cool rock formations and breathtaking views of the river towards the end. I highly recommended this trail for a casual day hike.

Great trail! Well marked and maintained. Gorgeous views. Very runnable. It’s right at 2 miles out to the end of point trail, then 2 miles back. Definitely take time to see the views!

The toughest trail I ever done
Up Steep rocky slop spilling into breathtaking prehistoric rock formation and caves

the best view is at the overlook trail which is .3 mi. The point trail has some elevation but not much. lots of sidetrack trails to the side with a lot of small overlooks.
also, there is a big white and black dog that hikes the trail alone a lot. Called the number on the tag and the owner says the dog just enjoys going there and that he lives close so it is okay that he is there. the dog is a super friendly cutie.

This really should be under Point Tr which is the majority of this hike. Its a 3.8mi out\back w short spur to Lilly Bluff overlook. I combined this w Bridge Tr. for about 6mi total. This is an easy well-marked & maintained tr. Lots of side trails. Many awesome overlooks\bluffs, rock formations, creeks,& waterfalls. Take your time & do the side trails for an overall exceptional experience. One of the better hikes in the area.

This trail was unexpectedly magical. It took me much longer than expected to hike this trail because there were so many places you wanted to stop and look around. There’s so many side trails to explore. The trail itself is very clearly marked and easy to follow. Well worth the drive from Nashville :)

Absolutely love this hike, especially with my kiddo. Beautiful overlooks, a couple waterfalls, and everyone has fun (0 whinnying).

Great views and the trail was clean and easily found. Some of the side trails later in the route have better views than the trail end! Would absolutely recommend.

Hidden gem. Don’t tell to many people about it :)

The walk to the Lilly Bluff Overlook is 0.3 miles of flat forest ground. The view is stunning. We went at dusk and stayed for 3 hours to star gaze. This is a patch of dark sky and it is amazing. There are no artificial lights and you can see the whole sky. Thanks to Obed WSR Staff for making this official dark sky. The parking lot is paved and there are bathrooms. The overlook is a boardwalk with rails and benches.

It was a wonderful hike. We loved the overlook and we actually got some pictures of an eagle. Only four stars because the path was not as well marked as some of the other hikes we’ve hiked. I think that was because the signs had fallen off or been taken down for some reason. Other than that, it was a great hike.

Excellent trail if you can stay on it. There are markers everywhere due to hikers marking alternate routes. The views at the end are amazing.

My husband and I hiked this trail yesterday. Enjoyed the hike. It was very well marked
I did accidentally leave my walking sticks in the parking lot. I need them for hiking because of problems I have with my ankles. If anyone picked them up, please let me know (roosterb@citlink.net).

Was visiting TN and had time for one hike. I'm glad we chose this one!

Hiked the Overlook Trail and the Point Trail. Loved the entire hike. It's an easy trek, so it makes for a perfect family hike. We hiked it in the fall, and it offered a great mix of flora; a bed of leaves underfoot, passing by wild rhododendrons, broad-leaf deciduous trees and a variety of evergreens (Eastern Hemlock, Virginia Pine and Eastern White Pine). Put this diversity of plant life together with moss-covered rocks reminiscent of the PACNW and it was a really gorgeous hike. I'm surprised there haven't been more reviews and photos posted. The "Arches" offer a nice little cave to tuck into for lunch, and the large cliff you pass by on the way up is a sight to see all by itself.

The Point Trail narrows and ends at the convergence of the Obed River and Clear Creek. As it narrows, you get great views of the bluffs on either side of you. The rock climbers were making good use of the sheer rock faces the day we hiked, and we could see and hear them on their ascents.

I highly recommend this hike!

Hiked during fall. Views and color where great.

I did the Bridge Trail while visiting this area. A very short trail, but great views of the Obed and Emory River!

on Point Trail

Monday, July 11, 2016

A great hike with beautiful overlooks. The Bridge Trail from the bridge to overlooks is very difficult but short, only 1/2 mile or so. Point trail is great, moderate difficulty approx. 3.8miles round trip. It starts at the top by the overlook area. You can park at the bridge or drive to the top/overlook area. When on the Point Trail pay attention after you cross the wooden bridge. The trail splits and you need to go Right and climb a few rocks. There is a white arrow on a tree but can easily be missed. If you go to the left the trail goes about a mile or so and just ends (no point/overlook). The overlooks off the Point Trail are beautiful. Hope you enjoy!

Great hike, the only hard part of the 2.5 miles is the first .25 miles from the bridge to the overlook, you can park up by the overlook and start your hike from there. The trail is an in and out trek, close to the end of the trail are several beautiful overlooks. We took this hike in the prime of the fall colors, can't wait to do it again.
