This hike isn't for everyone! Its almost straight up & you cross the creek several times, but once you get there its totally worth it! The first waterfall you come to is not that far, but is so beautiful! Will definitely hike again!

Loved seeing the owls and hawks. The boardwalk over the water is really peaceful and I loved the views over it from the look-out building.

A little busy when you are down by the lake but not bad once you get up into the woods.

Standard walk in the woods

Awesome trail! Great view of the sunset and great sense of accomplishment

Went looking for a "hiking" trail; this turned out to be more of a "dog walking/urban exercise" trail. Lots of dogs, (my pup loved it, but if your dog is the anti-social type, this is probably not the place for you), so watch your step! Lots of doggy droppings! Not very difficult, one or two minor hills. A good portion of the trail runs parallel to a busy road, lots of very "non-serene" traffic noise. This trail also seems to be prettily heavily travelled. If you just want a decent place to take a walk, this is ok. If you like more of an actual backwoods hiking experience, definitely go somewhere else.

The trails and scenery were great. I combined 4 trail into 1. The Machine Falls, Amber Falls, Bugsby Falls, and Wild Flower Loop all together.

Pretty good trail without a lot of other people on it. We didn’t find it very difficult for a trail in the woods. It was very peaceful, the type of trail to bring a snack, sit down and enjoy the sounds of nature. (We did the 6 mile trail) There aren’t any breathtaking mountain top views but if you can find beauty in the small things it’s nice. The trails were clear and well maintained. I feel like we had no problem figuring out the trail we wanted to take. (We bought a trail map to take with us just in case but didn’t really use it for directions) Compared to other wooded trails I like this one because the woods are open enough that you can see around you. There’s a shelter and fire pit on the MB trail if you wanted to do the 10 mile trail and stay overnight. I don’t know if I would go again bc there are so many other trails in the middle TN area but it’s a nice day hike.
