Fantastic place for any type of run; long, speed, or easy. This place can’t be beat! Start at the dam for pancake flat miles. Out and back up to 12 miles total with no elevation gain. For more of a challenge (and beautiful river views), start downtown and incorporate the bridges into your run.

Easy trail. If you're facing the bathroom, turning left takes you across a bridge, through the woods (creek on your right) on a dirt path and leads you to a grassy hill, Turning right takes you on a shorter walk along the creek on an asphalt path. Either way, you'll have a relaxing stroll. This is also an excellent creek for a smooth paddle for kayak or canoe that will take you to the Tennessee River in about 3 miles.

Great walk. Very easy everything is marked well. Trees down on a few trails, but besides that great. Our dog loved it

Best place in Chattanooga to go for a short or long run and train for a race. Connects to South Chickamauga Creek Greenway too.

Great trail. Very well marked. Get to see a lot of the Chattanooga highlights. You can even do it by using the Chattanooga bike system.

Excellent beginner hike. Some good Hills and great scenery. According to my Fitbit it was 4.01 miles but I took a wrong turn

With the opening of the Broad St. terminus, & the South Chickamauga Creek section, there are plenty of places to walk/hike. With Broad St. terminus, makes things easier for hikers on GREAT EASTERN TRAIL getting to downtown Chattanooga. From Broad St. to Chickamauga Dam is round 13 miles, makes for sa great hike.

Concrete trail, lots of lights, water/bathroom stops abound. Very scenic in parts.

I walk here several times a week, not easy because of going up and across the ridge but beautiful place to walk. Have to watch for snakes here. I usually see several during summer and some Copperheads.

Walked part of this today. Was a blast. Recommend the walnut street bridge(pedestrian bridge) as well, (you pass it on trail) easy walk, plus cool art exhibits along the way.

I love this place, first trail I decided to check out. Glad I did

Chattanooga put a lot of money into this parklike paved trail along the river. We parked at the Boathouse restaurant (very good) and walked downtown to the art district. Stay to the right. There are bikers that use this trail also. Great views of the river and we saw a lot of Canadian geese.
If I lived in Chattanooga this hike/walk would be one of my regular activities.

Starts at Chickamauga Dam and travels along the Tennessee River for a good distance then goes inland and back to the river, trail is concrete almost all the way with lots of bridges, one has a glass bottom, multiple restrooms along the trail, a couple of wet lands if you like to bird watch, over all it is a great trail but only 4 stars because it was so crowded in the downtown area the market square was packed. It has multiple bike rental stations along the trail.

Spectacular views of the funky greenish water from the limestone rock and the quarry where the rock for Chickamauga damn came from. Dog friendly park with plenty of room to walk and play.

Left out a three mile flat section. Has very challenging hills that also not on the map. Great for walking, biking and kayaking on the Chicamauga Creek.
