Spur-of-the-moment decision to get a hike in before we left for home... We had a great hike, saw a few deer, and just did get caught by a rain shower right before getting back to the parking lot... Very nice trail

Pretty hike. It was easy and short. Good for families or for your first hike of vacation. Gorgeous scenery but no views of mountains.

Beautiful drive! The directions from this app take you to the end so google map it. Lots of places to stop! Gorgeous!

One of the most rewarding hikes I’ve ever been on. Went at the end of July.

Done this trail multiple times! Great views at the top, but along the trail as well. One of the best bang for your bucks in the National Park! Trail is more crowded than you would think an 11 mile trail would be though.

Short but steep! This paved, half mile gets the heart going, but the views are spectacular. Check your brakes (knees) before starting down.

Great hike up through the forest with rewarding views at the top! There were a few steep uphills, but they didn’t seem to last long. After about 2 miles, the rest of the way up was gradual. Hiking poles would help navigate some of the rocks and roots encountered along the way. Start early to avoid the crowds.

Way more difficult than I expected and I consider myself a fairly seasoned hiker. The incline on the way up- yikes! Beautiful waterfall at the end but have no illusions thinking it’s an easy hike.

Went on an overnighter to Mt LeConte. We loved the solitude. My favorite area was the backbone right before Mt LeConte where it’s narrow and you can see East and West. Was hoping we would see a bear since it isn’t highly traveled, but no. The Alum Cave trail is probably prettier, but so darn busy.
Recommend the trip and spending the night at the LeConte Lodge.

great things to see...bridges..river..coves and more a little more difficult and steep up near the bluff but worth it ..we got a glimpse of a rattler at the top but he kept his distance

I took my girls on this hike! Unforgettable! I will do this hike again with some backpacking to go!

Have done this trail twice both times in early April, bring spikes due to the ice in the trail. Beautiful views of the smokies in multiple locations. One of my favorite trails.

Great trail for an easy nature walk and to get your steps in. From visitor center, it was 4 miles round trip.

spectacular waterfall. worth the climb up. pretty strenuous last 2 miles

difficult trail as the incline up the mountain is rather steep
..a few creek crossings leave you with wet feet lol but..we saw 2 black snakes but no other wildlife. The cemetery was a bit disappointing, just a few marker stones with only one actuall grave stone from the 1920s...overall a great workout!

Hardest hike done so far, but well worth it!

I went on this trail and it had the best views I’ve ever seen

Loved the hike but the bugs were so bad we had to turn back after about .5 mile.

Nice hike on old road. Took 3 and 4 year old granddaughters, easy

Great trail beautiful views , very well maintained .

Awesome hike! Me and my wife starting hiking the trail around 8 am. the forest was foggy and everything was beautiful. Only thing is there was a couple there that hogged Charles bunion most of the time. other than that, beautiful hike.

Pleasant hike for everyone!

Absolutely loves hiking this. Was a challenge but once we made it to the top, it was well worth it.
The view is absolutely breath taking.

The trail is rocky and well maintained. It took us about 3 hours to hike up but we were carrying larger packs because we camped out a few nights. There are plenty of places to refill water so no real need to cary more than you absolutely need. The parking lot is plenty large but still recommend getting there early as Alum Cave Trail is the busiest. We probably met 50-100 hikers climbing up as we came back down (the reason I rated it only 4 stars). Next trip to Leconte, we will take a less popular trail.

We had a great hike and gave our adult children all they wanted in a day hike. Beautiful scenery and amazing trails. Well worth the climb.

We were hiking this trail when it was little rain and that was awesome experience, overall this trail is amazing with beautiful views ,very recommended
