This recording is a loop including Flint Mountain trail as a return. The Flint Mountain trail was easy to follow but it is rocky and often in the stream as it approaches the final 0.5 miles into Rocky Fork and the final wet creek crossing.

This was an amazing trail!!! Loved the river it was an unbelievable color and beautiful I couldn’t get past how beautiful it was! There are several trails inside this park area. All starts at the parking lot and then splits off to stay near the river (which a bridge is almost finished being built) to cross over the river. We went right up on, white oaks flats trail which is a little bit of an up climb but levels out and has some amazing views. Then we hiked to the headwaters trail. All in all did almost 7 miles. It was fantastic and I can’t wait to come back during other seasons!

Well maintained trail, closer to 12 miles on Garmin Instinct and all trails recording. I gave it a three only because this is the most non scenic 12 miles I can remember hiking.

Solo hike just before Christmas. This time checked out the block stand Trail. Not all that interesting being mostly a logging road. Still is able to hear some of the headwaters and found my way out OK.Very state in and out!

Great winter hike. Pretty easy except for some creek crossings. Very pretty and well maintained! Longer than expected (AllTrails and Strava recorded 11.5) but we did check out some of the camp sites so that could have added a little

Trail is in good condition. Bridges wet and slick. Last few hundred yards to Flint Gap is quite steep. Poles recommended. Two creek crossings in the upper section not bad but could be after a rain. Remaining crossings are nice bridges.

Rocky Fork is a hidden gem. Trails are mostly old road bed and wide, with some areas of single track. They are very well maintained and not rocky or technical at all. Expect an occasional stream crossing, but nothing extreme. The route is hilly, but a good mix of ups and downs.

This is a pleasant hike, and you can turn it into a loop trail if you take Black Creek Access trail up and Rocky Fork back. Most of the first half trail is rocky or a gravel road, but after you finally get away from that, it's very pleasant and follows a cheerfully noisy creek. It is fairly heavily traveled, especially the first mile or so.

I’ve hiked 50 sum odd trails in the Asheville metro area. This trail and the roan highlands at carvers gap are hands down the best two hikes you can do.

Bridge is up with a fun hand rail celebrating this wonderful place. Enjoy all the way. Clumps of Butterflies during the day.

The bridge is out (4/28/19). You can only go about a mile on this trail. Beautiful river though, especially this spring.

Great wildflowers. The creek over ran it’s bank and took out the main bridges.

Great hike to Shelton Graves on AT. This is recording from gravesites back to Devils Fork Gap so round trip is 11.8. Graves are about 1 mile from the tire that is right to the left of the trail. Great views in winter along the way.

beautiful in July. Great water access for the dogs to play in. many bridges crossing back and forth across the creek

Enjoyed the hike but the lake was empty. Nice roads to get there and map provided at Rocky Fork Kiosk was very helpful
