Great view especially from the South Overlook. Trail is well marked and trail from North Overlook clockwise is newly maintained. Road is narrow and windy up to the parking area though so be careful.

beautiful, this is why we moved to Tennessee!

Trail head is tough to fine. It is on the side of the highway directly opposite the paved parking pull-off. It is faintly marked by some surveyor's tape, but otherwise hard to see. trail itself was well marked. I hiked up at night and down the next morning. watching the sunrise from the overlook was amazing. Some great bouldering at the top as well.

Good water source flowing into the cave, which is closed due to white-nose syndrome.

Lots of fun and beautiful! especially when the rains make it flow wildly!

Beautiful waterfall. There’s an overlook that’s easy to get to. Be careful because there are no guard rails. Not suited for small children. Then you can hike a separate trail (path of large rocks) down to the bottom of the falls. It’s so beautiful and majestic. Wear shoes that can get wet and plan to climb around and spend the day exploring the base of the falls.

A little slippery in points but definitely worth taking slow to get to bottom. We stopped by a few days after the rain storms so some really great photos!

Great Trail! Lots of different features including a spring house and old settlement ruins, caves, and a beautiful overlook.

Very scenic trail going down to the bottom off the falls was treacherous but worth the view.

great walk very clean and well marked

We loved this! We had a little one with us so we didn’t try to get to the bottom of the falls. The views from the top were phenomenal. We also walked down the creek a bit. If you don’t go down to the base, it’s an extremely short trail

Nice short hike. Regarding the reported broken glass. I only saw one broken bottle so maybe someone did some cleaning recently.

Would’ve been pretty if a bunch of inconsiderate morons didn’t throw their empty beer bottles over the edge and break them all over. This basically ruined the entire beauty of it all. Won’t be back.

***BROKEN GLASS ALL OVER BY THE WATER.***

I did this trail about two weeks ago. It was a great sight to see and was a fun adventure close to home. Steep but definitely doable. Unfortunately It is littered with broken glass so be careful.

Found this trail while looking for something closer to Knoxville and a little different than the normal Smokey Mountain day hike. Parking is for about 5-7 vehicles. There was a nice trail map at the beginning. The trail is marked pretty well except one part where you combine with an ATV trail, then shortly come back off of it. After a little over a mile the trail began to be overgrown. The brush and grass was very tall and really took away from enjoying the hike for us.

This is a beautiful area. You can take a short, easy walk to the top of the falls, or you can make the relatively moderate hike down to the base of the falls and beyond. Very pretty and relaxing, with a swimming hole at the base of the falls.

Easy climb down... breathtaking falls
Fun to swim in ( with water shoes)

Easy slope most of the way. The rocks at the top are worth it.

Sign at the trailhead says “No Pets” with a fine for violators. :( Getting down to the falls requires a bit of climbing so be ready to get dirty and wear appropriate footwear. There were a lot of broken glass bottles scattered around so use careful hand placement. Once you reach the plunge pool, the waterfall is worth it! Our boys (6 & 9) swam in plunge pool and we all stood under the falls. We had a really great time!

I took my dog on this trail for her first hike and she did great! It really wasn’t a long distance. Climbing down the rocks to the bottom of the trail was a lot easier for my dog than it was for me, but still pretty easy! Definitely worth the trip. It’s a beautiful site. Next time I come, I’ll bring a bathing suit to actually swim under the waterfall!

Beautiful waterfall! The path to the top of the waterfall is very easy for those of all ages. The path to the bottom is hard - lots of climbing on rocks to get down and back up but totally worth it! My almost 70 year old mom did it - I was so proud! I wore Chacos and had no problems!Definitely want to bring your swimsuit so you can swim in the waterfall pool!

Great views from the top, wish there was more outside of the ridge view

Took only the "To Base of Falls" trail. Very short but very technical. Especially slippery when the rocks are wet. So if you're not confident in climbing/descending technical terrain with sure footing, then I wouldn't take this way.
Seriously beautiful little spot. Unfortunately I packed out lots of trash and there are cigarette butts EVERYWHERE. Please show some respect people. Don't ruin and trash these beautiful places that we are all trying to enjoy together!

It was pretty much a walk a few yards to see the top of the falls - the bottom however was more challenging but not hard at all. It is fun to up the rocks on the way up. I recommend it for the view of the falls but if you are in decent shape you should be done in less than 40 minutes .

Short, nice hike to top of waterfall! The short, steep climb down to the base of the fall was a bit intense depending on the slope you take!
