It’s perfect when you have two kids and a dog. Super easy and we even took our umbrella stroller. There was a couple tough spots for the stroller but over all perfect for us.

Hiked it today and saw a few deer. Trail is green and pretty.

Easy dirt trail. Lots of mayapple popping up. Close to a picnic area and great view of the lake. They had educational signs posted on different trees where you could scan a QR code and listen to a recording and learn about that specific tree's qualities and benefit for the area.
Also....what Jeff said.

Good short beginner loop. Easy hike with minimal elevation change and a well defined path. Excellent wildlife spotting opportunities with a mix of under canopy and open field hiking.

Trail is adequately named. Not 20 paces into a counter-clockwise loop I was face to face with a doe and her fawn. Promptly turned around and went the other way where I saw even more baby deerlets. They were a bit more jumpy as they were alone. Trail is a bit overgrown in places, but I was happy to finish it as my fifth trail of the day. Fwiw I was walking it around 5 pm on a 90 degree day in late July.

For this one I'm just going to shut up and tell you to read Jeff's review. I can't put it better, and I think he nailed it in his review.

This easy loop is like a little oasis for wildlife. The various types of environments of grasses, wood lands, and shoreline create a perfect mix. The trail is well maintained and clean with very little elevation change.
One condition to certainly watch for however is ticks. The tall grasses in the area are a perfect habitat for the tick and you will want to be safe and use insect protective measures.

This trail recorded at 0.7 mile not an actual mile. The trail was very clean and well maintained. There are some interesting rock formations along the trail. There is a slight incline and decline which could be moderate depending on your condition however most will find this an easy trail. Wildlife can be viewed almost anytime here and lots of educational aspects here as well. Fishing and Picnic areas are very nearby as well.
Parking offers easy access to the trail. Use caution here though and secure all valuables as many cars have been broken into. Ticks are abundant through out the warmer months so that requires caution as well.
