Love this trail! We run it but it looks super sweet for biking too. Always nice people. Sometimes we see lots of dogs and other times we don’t. I haven’t brought mine because the trails are so narrow at points it could be a struggle. One of my favorite spots to go these days, and bonus in the summer heat is that’s it’s almost 100% in the shade!

What a success and feeling of accomplishment- completing 2.8 miles of out/back. We made it over the suspension bridge! We are novice hikers and this trail was challenging, but we survived. It began with clinging to boulders to make it over a white water rapid. It was my husband, 20 year old daughter, dog, and I... but we made it successfully. After the river, the hike was beautiful and therapeutic. Our goal was achieved - to hike to the suspension bridge and it was beautiful. On the other side of the bridge, we were greeted by the friendliest natives of Chattanooga. Like someone said previously in a review, the way back was breeze and much quicker. Some suggestions: wear great hiking shoes/boots, bring water, be prepared for slick spots on the trail, and have a positive attitude- it’s a great hike!!! We are sleeping well tonight.

Moderate seems right. Very shaded, fair amount of roots and rocks. For a lot of the trail it’s wooded on all sides, but there are good views of the river spread throughout and snoopers rock is a great payoff.

Open during covid. Very nice multi purpose trail: we met cyclists, runners and hikers. It’s relatively easy trail and very relaxing/zen - good way to reconnect with nature. My favorite part was Hill City section of Blue Trail. Also there are bathrooms at the parking lot/entrance.

Hiked the trail today. The trail IS open and in good condition. It is more like 6.6 miles but the view is worth it!

Great waterfalls after a rain but mostly all rock scrambling.

No parking except for a place to pull off the road. Two (maybe three?) cars max. Waterfall is also accessible from Glen Falls Trail, but this is a better walk. Don’t stop at the bridge! Keep going and go up the stone stair and through the rock tunnel. The best stuff is up top!

The tail was full of debris. Lost the trail in about 3-400 yards in the the hike. Very dangerous

Great trail. Moderate is an accurate rating.

Awesome hike! Trailhead is across the street below the wooden stairs (they're on your left going up as is parking). Bridge is out completely, rock hopping is possible without getting wet as long as it hasn't been raining. Suspension bridge view is beautiful and the incline up to mushroom rock is fun. Rock crossing would definitely be hard for small kids.

Very beautiful and easy to manage hike! The end result is beyond worth it. Seeing the vastness that God put into making the Tennessee River was breathtaking! Very even terrain for the most part. It’s also VERY shaded, which helped take away some of the heat of the day! The map through this app was very easy and helpful! Follow the map and you’re good! On this app, it’s listed as 5.9 miles, but using the app, it said that going there and back was closer to 6.4. Probably not big enough of a gap, but it is just that much longer!

Easy hike. Managed it solo in 3 hours. Indian House was a neat little site and the trail offers 2-3 vast views of the Tennessee River & neighbor mountains. Plenty of parking lots at different points along the trail. Makes for getting to Snoopers Rock pretty easy. But it’s worth the out & back.

The access is closed (as of 5/15/2020), not sure if due to covid or construction

We arrived around 9:45 and finished around 1:10, stopping at the lookout to have a snack. The trail is easy, with a few roots and rocks to manage but our little terrier managed the trail just fine. The trail head can be confusing as there aren’t many signs, make sure you stop at the Cumberland Trail parking lot marking, where there is a kiosk and little outhouse.

Great and easy trail to complete for us and our dog. Trail is somewhat narrow, but nothing to be concerned about. View from the Rock is beautiful. We actually passed up the trail head which many others did too. The parking lot will have a kiosk, some picnic tables, and an outhouse. If you’re facing the sign in sheet, the trail will be on your right across the road.

Great views - make sure to stop off at Sunset Rock! Lots of different terrain along the way. Visited on a weekday and there wasn’t too much traffic.

Had a great time. Nice falls and some area to play around on top.

This place is really cool! Mostly shaded, rugged trail. Like everyone else has said theres not much trail to follow after about 1 /4 mile but it's fun. We had my 1 yr old daughter in my backpack carrier and it was necessary to keep the sun visor up because the trail has gotten overgrown. we were confused about where the trail was and ended up at the top above the falls.it was pretty and quiet up there too.

Beautiful day and time of year to hike this trail. Highly recommended.

trail is back open as of 5/7

I’ve been wanting to do this trail for a while. Overall, I love this trail! Finding the trail head wasn’t too hard (it is on the side of the river) and the mileage and elevation was a great day hike! Just a note that the first bridge is out. There is a rock crossing, but I would be weary for going on days after heavy rain.

Very short walk but one of the best views around. Lots of connecting trails to explore.

The first bridge at Suck Creek Road is out so dogs and small children may have difficulty on the rocks. Otherwise great trail!
