Great hike. Steady climb up with a few switch backs. Definitely moderate. Forest is waking up from winter with wildflowers and dogwood blooming everywhere.

Great work out. Really loved going up this hike. It was nearly 4 miles up to the cell towers. And then for miles back down. I had to stop about a dozen times to do a tick check and found about 10 texts throughout the hike on me so be very careful as you walk this hike. I really enjoy the work out going up I did not so much enjoy the long dissent down the mountain. A couple of beautiful pieces of scenery and mostly in the shade.

Loved this hike. My best friends last name is Oswald...So of course we had to do this hike.=) We actually hiked this trail the following day as well. This a beautiful out and back hike with a gradual incline to the top. It offered great views and moderate workout. I would says anyone in reasonable health can do this hike.

This is a very challenging hike! It's a steady climb all the way. You will really feel accomplished when you finish! There are some amazing views along the way.

Beautiful hike. It is closer to 8 miles and an uphill climb the whole way in. I would not recommend this hike for a family outing or an easy stroll. I would also rate it difficult. I did not see any waterfalls though, can someone tell me how to get to those?

This trail is basically 3.9 miles of "up hill" all the way to the cell towers. Great views along the way. You better be in pretty good shape to tackle this trail.
Trail is almost 8 miles. Great work out.

If you are looking for a good workout-this trail for you. Very long steady incline. 1 hour and 50 minute steady incline before a slight leveling out. Good views while no leaves on trees. No signs of wildlife.

This trail should be rated as difficult for the most of the way as you climb straight up the mountain. Good views in the fall and winter. The trail does narrow at certain points so be sure to have some hiking shoes with some aggressive lugs. I would also recommend taking a mid high hiking boot for ankle support. I would not recommend this trail for beginners or for family hikes. The trail head base is at a camp ground with benches, fire pits and restrooms. Also the trail was more like 8 miles on my GPS.

hard trail for beginners. Great views in the winter.

Well kept trail and a good workout on the climb. Not much to see at the top, just cell towers and road paving equipment.

Trail in good condition. Uphill 4.3 miles. Out and back distance 8.6 miles. Did see a rattlesnake on the trail.

Beautiful and Intense hike in 100 degree weather!

Trails were very slick and wet from ice melt when we went. Pretty views and waterfalls. Not much parking room. Very very steep at some parts!
