Connection to remainder of Trail not clear after you cross the first paved road. We cut our hike short since no markings evident
As soon as you step onto this trail you are transported to the jungle. Great trail - quick loop. There are some very dense right spots in the trail that have you walking just a little faster while you think what’s in the brush. Only a few trees down that were easily passable. Boardwalks are slippery and one tiny section was collapsed but no issues getting through. Recommend coming out and giving this trail a shot - don’t be deterred by negative reviews. The SC park system has so much to offer.
This state park is in terrible condition. The trail has numerous boardwalks that are collapsed and half underwater. If you are not able bodied these will be difficult to navigate. We had to cross several down trees and assist an elderly couple through a severely muddy stretch. I have no desire to return. It was too long of a drive for what it was.
nice walk, but a little swampy in a few spots after it rains.
very wet.
